They walked for hours and pretty soon, nightfall approached. They all decided to make camp for the night.
They all looked for sticks and Maxon made the fire.
Bella talked to Jack a little bit as skylar made beds for everyone. Once she finished, Jack left to get some food.
"So how did you two meet?" Bella asked Maxon and Skylar.
They both looked at each other. "I was running and he crashed into me." Skylar said, glaring at Maxon.
"She crashed into me and almost got me caught." He glared back. Their tension filled the air.
A few minutes passed and Jack came back with some rats and rabbits. They all cooked their food over the fire and went to bed. Of course, everyone but Jack. He was in a half sleep half awake thing. He could still hear everything around him.
As they slept, Skylar woke up to the sound of breaking branches. No more than a second later, Jack shot up and looked around.
"Did you hear that?" She asked him.
"Yeah." He mumbled.
They got everyone up and the sound stopped. They looked around and found nothing. All of a sudden, they heard gun shots. Jack tackled Bella to the ground and Maxon did the same to Skylar. The bullet hit the tree behind Maxon and Skylar.
"They found us!" Skylar whispered.
"Let's get out of here." Jack told everyone.
"Follow me!" Maxon said. "The clearing is this way!"
"No, we could get caught going that way. Let's go this way" Jack said in his naturally harsh voice.
"Boys! Stop arguing! We don't have time for this!" Bella and Skylar said.
Finally, they all agreed to go Jack's way, then turn around and follow Maxon to the clearing.
When morning came, they arrived that their destination.
