I enter through the gates of the skyroom. I look up and get a glance of the actual room. It had been a while since I last flew. I spread out my wings and glance over as the transparent violet colour reflects onto the marble floor. Although my wings possess two colours of violet and black, the power of the black does not react in this part of the realm, and with one final glance I gaze up at the sky and start flying.
I spiral around the tube of glass that I'm flying through, my sword flings around my waist as my speed increases. As I reach the end of the tube I see the ceiling of the skyroom. I increase my momentum, the ceiling comes closer and closer yet I do not stop. In a split second I'm face to face with the ceiling and I use it to bounce off and land on the floor.
I sit up and scratch the back of my head. "That could have gone better.." I stand up and dust myself off. "I must say you were flying quite fast are you okay?" I hear a voice behind me. I stand still realizing that it's the prince. "Prince Zarioss... I didn't know you would be here so early, please excuse me" I bow to him, my cheeks are red with embarrassment. He chuckles and shakes his head. "It is fine! Quite entertaining I must say. Your wings are quite fast. I can't believe that isn't even a quarter of your power." I fix my hair and walk over to him. "Haha.. Yes but I believe that it is best if I focus it all on the protection spell. The technology here serves well enough for our purposes"
"What did you need to talk about your majesty?" I ask. "Ah well you see, the ball is in a few days and I was wondering if you will be attending?" I cock my head, raising an eyebrow. "Is that the important question?" He blushes and quickly tries to hide it. "Well it is important to me I'll have you know." I smile and shake my head. "of course. I will be there yes but as the general of Laridosa. In uniform and at the front of the guard as I always do." I reply.
His expression changes. "I see. How about you arrive there wearing a ball gown instead and enjoy yourself? You work yourself too much. I don't want you to go blind like last time. Loosen up and have a nice night. My personal guard is big enough to protect this whole kingdom. I believe none else is required"
"Thank you for the offer but I really believe that I should not. I mean I won't be dancing anyway I would only be worrying." I state. Zarioss looks out the large stained windows and doesn't reply. I worriedly lower my gaze and look at the same direction. "See that over there? See how the light reflects on the protection spell you and Simone put up three years ago. It still stands how it stood the first time it was conjured. Both of you work hard to keep this city safe. She, I believe will be joining us in the festivities, as she always does but that doesn't make the spell any less weaker. I believe that if you do the same there will still be no difference, because your minds are very well dedicated to the safety of Laridosa."
Honestly I had not thought Zarioss was capable of coming up with words like that so quickly but it was truly what I was thinking of and it felt as if he read my mind somehow. "And I believe that you will be dancing, with me of course" he adds. I glare at him baffled. "You want to dance? With me?" He laughs at the bewilderment on my face. "Of course. Who would not want to dance with you?"
