The ball ends a few hours later and everyone returns back to their homes. Simone and I walk through the silver corridors admiring the blue rose. We remained speechless through out the night. The past events have us baffled into what the Prince's plans are.
As we get closer to my room I feel more nervous as to what my first question would be. It is not an everyday occurance for the prince to fabricate a rose in front of a whole crowd and present it to you. Also of my favourite colour I add.
I place my palm on the scanner and the door slides open. A few lights dimly lit illuminate the room. She enters before me and drops herself on to the sofa, throwing her heels to the side. I enter closing the door behind me and place the rose in a jar sitting beside her.
"Ally I never knew the prince felt this way. Do you think that he will propose to you? What if he does? What will you say?" She stares at me with a puzzled expression.
"Honestly Simone I do not have any feelings for him. Although what he did was romantic and truly sweet, I don't fancy him. I don't even know if he truly fancies me. He kept glaring at the king from time to time while we were dancing, as if they had some kind of feud going on that somehow included me. If I ever looked in that direction the king would smile warmly with me and Zarioss would divert my attention." My explanation is pretty thorough because I had been thinking of the matter ever since the dance ended.
She shrugs and lays back on the couch. "Next week the coronation will be held. He will meet many more maidens that he would soon fancy. Maybe by then he would forget?" It would be suitable if he would do so, but after making such a public appearance? I think for a moment.
"I hope so. I do not want to deal with something like this. What if he does ask me? It would be horrific to turn him down in front of everyone!" I suddenly panic thinking about what could happen on that day. "The best thing to do is to stay as far away from him as possible. You will be on guard duty yes?" Simone asks. "Yes but I will have to stand with the royal guard as I am the general. We will see how things turn out. Until then we should check on how the spell is taking place. I felt something off today while at the ball. As if a bit of power left the spell. Did you feel it?" She nods, summoning her illusion gate and pointing to the top corner of it. "Here was the disturbance. I had some scouts report to me about the status of that area and they said there was nothing to be seen. It was suspicious to me but they said all they were able to find were some black crystals on the ground. Maybe some children thought of throwing their toys at the shield."
No one has ever done something as strange as that but it can be expected when you see a large glowing shield of blue and purple hovering over yourself. Simone stands up ad stretches. "I really must get going. Liam had wanted to speak to me about something. Good night Ally!"
It had been an eventful night, all I wanted to do was get a good night's sleep. I drag myself to the bed and drop onto it's comfy cushion. A few moments later I drift off into sleep.
