Analissa
Two days had passed since we arrived. Elucia had still not gotten over the whole thing and I couldn't blame her. It's not easy when the person closest to you betrays you in a heart beat.
I lay awake in my room, my once comfortable bed felt like a stranger. Everyone felt like a stranger. The stares, the comments all had been increasing and caused me to wear my cloak more often.
I grabbed the necklace on my neck and dangled it before me. "How is life going for you? Oh don't worry. Soon you will be out and into the cellars where you belong."
A knock on the door interrupted my lone conversation. Getting off of the bed, I grab my cloak and sheid my wings. The door opens after I put a palm on the scanner and I am greeted with an unfamiliar face.
"Queen Analissa, the King Zarioss has requested your presence in the courtyard. He said that it was of urgency." She spoke timidly. I nodded and excused her.
Queen Analissa. I prefer virtuous violet over that any day.
I made my way to the court yard. I could hear the scouts training in the distance. Zarioss was standing at the entrance, looking at them train.
I walked over to him, "King Zarioss, why have you requested me?" I asked. He turned towards me and smiled. "Queen Analissa, it is a pleasure. I wanted your acquaintance to ask of your forgiveness. As king I feared for the safety of my kingdom and immediately forgot of who you were. I'm sorry for treating you as if a threat rather than a survivor and the brace warrior that you are."
I was somewhat surprised by his words. I looked at his eyes to see if he was telling the truth, yet they showed something different. As if he was in pain. "Are you alright Zarioss?" I inquired before answering his question.
His smile faded away. "I am sorry, this is all happening because of me." His eyes this time were watery, this time he was telling the truth. "None of this is your fault. If anything I should blame myself." Before I could finish my sentence Zarioss placed a finger on my lips.
"Analissa I need to tell you the truth, may we talk somewhere private?"
