My father's sudden appearance took me by surprise. We began walking through the deck of the ship, although he mentioned he wanted to discuss something he remained silent.
We walked through the entire deck without speaking a word to each other. As soon as we reached the study I opened my mouth to speak.
His fist slams against the oak table. "What do you think you're doing?!" Stunned by his sudden action I remained silent. "Are you trying to create another war?! She is now the queen of the dark realm, she thinks of it as a chance for peace, she is the most powerful creature alive, does a wheel not spin in your head my dear son, when these things come in to mind?" I stood in silence thinking about his words.
No, he's going to suggest a marriage as a peace treaty.
"I know what you're going to say father, and I want to refuse your offer now. I am king now and I will make the peace treaty in a different manner."
Frankly I knew I was dead the moment I said those words. But I was done with his foolery. His power and greed, I am King and I will rule my way.
I watched his eyes widen with fury. Then, he laughed. His laugh went on for a few minutes. "Do you honestly believe that I would just let you rule my kingdom like that?
No. Your rule won't take place until my death and that won't be taking place soon. You will win back her friendship and affection and you will propose the idea to her, or I will have to present it to her myself."
His words sent a shiver down my spine. "Why are you like this father? Why are you so power hungry?" I managed to put words together.
His silent stare made me shift in my spot. "I have been tying to gain control over that realm for my whole life, now I have an opportunity and I will not let you ruin my moment."
He let out a sigh, his stare became deadly. "If you do not do this for me, I will ruin you. I will impeach you and I will have the kingdom run you out of this kingdom. Are we clear?"
I was stiff at that moment. This was not my father who I was talking to, this was a power hungry man and nothing more.
