"Yes maa. No problem at all. Nia is staying here with me", I said.
"Ok. Lock all the doors and windows properly", she advised.
"Yes, I know. I'm not a kid", I said and Nia was ordering pizza and coke with my landline.
"Take care. We'll be back by tomorrow evening", mom said.
"You too take care. Bye", I said.
"Bye", she replied and I hung up.
"What did she say?", Nia asked.
"Just asking me to be safe and not to allow any stranger to enter the home and to lock all the doors and etc etc", I said.
"Moms can act super protective sometimes", Nia said.
"I know. Have you ordered something?", I asked.
"Yes, they'll be here in thirty minutes", she said and I smiled back.
"Let's watch some movie then. It's so great that you came today for a sleep over. I'm so happy. Noor doesn't have to come and you saved me from getting bored", I said and we sat on the couch.
"I'm your Knight in shining armour", Nia chukled and I too laughed.
"Couldn't agree more", I said and we watched Kal Ho Na Ho. Yes, that stupid Kabir didn't let me see that yesterday. Oh, I so so hate him.
The door bell rang and I glanced at the clock. It's just twenty minutes that we've ordered our pizza and they're here.
"Wow quick service, I'm impressed", Nia said and I got up and walked towards the door.
I opened the door with a smile which fades away seeing the person standing in front of me.
"What are you doing here now? Noor is not coming today", I said in a flat tone to Kabir.
"I want to say something", he said.
"Haven't you said more than enough yesterday?. Anything left to humiliate me more?", I asked. Yes, I'm angry on him and when I'm angry, I can go nuts.
"I just came to take my movie CD back", he said.
"At this time?', I asked raising my eyebrows.
"No, he's here for something else", another voice came and I looked behind Kabir to see Jay was also here.
Seeing Jay, my heart did flip a bit. Whole day and night Nia just kept pairing me with him and now his presence at my doorstep is actually making me paranoid.
You can't blame me for that. It's all Nia's fault. I don't like Jay but she kept on teasing me with his name and now I'm used to of him more.
"What are you doing here Jay?", I asked softly to him.
"I'm accompanying Kabir. He's sorry for yesterday Aashi. He's here for an apology", he said and my cheeks went red.
