Aashi's P.O.V.
"Are you able to find him?", Nia said looking all over the canteen.
"No and I'm not so desperate to meet him too", I said and opened my lunch box. I'm gonna enjoy my pasta today trying to ignore this funny feeling going on inside my stomach at the mere thought of meeting Jay.
"Lier", she muttered and I ignored that.
"Wanna have pasta with me?", I asked.
"Of course", she grinned and we started enjoying that yummy pasta.
My phone rang as soon as we're done and yes it was from Jay. I picked it up by tapping the green button. Nia was just staring at me with a smirk which I didn't like.
"Hello", I said.
"Hey, Aashi. Where are you?", Jay asked.
"In the canteen", I replied.
Where are you, I wanted to ask but I don't have balls to say this.
"Ok, I'm coming", he said and hung up. My heart just started beating at an uneven pace. I'm actually nervous, no kidding.
"What did he say?", Nia asked.
" He's coming", I replied.
"Ok. I should leave then", Nia said and got up picking her bag.
"Wait, why?", I asked.
"Because I don't want to come in between you two", Nia said.
"Shutup. Please stay with me", I said and she smiled.
"He's not going to kidnap you Aashi. Stay calm. Call me if you need me", she said.
"I need you", I said and she chukled.
"Ok. I'm sitting over there on that table. Is it ok?", She asked and I nodded hesitantly.
Yeah, at least she's there for me. Oh, I'm such a kid. When the hell will I grow up? Someone sue me.
Nia sat in front of me and I smiled at her. She got busy in her mobile and I looked at the entrance gate of the canteen. Jay came but he wasn't alone. He came with Kabir. I frowned seeing that Kabir with him. Yes, we're not in good terms. Surprise, surprise.
"Hey", Jay said and sat down in front me. I noticed Kabir went and join Nia.
"Hey", I said with a small smile and he smiled back. He seems a bit uncomfortable though.
"I'm glad you came", he said.
"We're friends right. How can I deny your request?", I said and he smiled.
"True", he said.
"Want to have some coffee?", I asked.
"Yes but not here", he said.
"Not here? Where do you want to go then?", I asked.
"Can we go out to some other place? I know a very good coffee shop near our college. You should try their coffee, it's amazing", he suggested and I nodded.
"Oh. Can I bring Nia with me?", I asked.
"Umm, no. I'm sorry but it's something related to her", he said scratching the back of his neck.
"But break is going to get over and I've to bunk my class if we go out", I said.
"C'mon Aashi, loosen up a bit. One class won't harm. Trust me, it's important", he said and I nodded hesitantly. I looked behind Jay only to find Nia and Kabir absent.
