It was break time when my mobile rang. Nia and I were walking to the canteen. It was from Kabir. I tapped the green button.
"Hello", I said.
"Spooky, where are you?", He asked.
"Can't you call her by her name?", I heard Jass voice from the background also.
Why does she care?, I thought.
Why are you jealous, my heart whispered!!
"I'm on my way to the college canteen", I replied.
"Bring Niharika to the music room. We're all waiting", he said and I looked at Nia. She raised her eyebrows at me signalling me to tell her what Kabir is saying.
"Ok", I said and hung up.
"What was he saying?", Nia asked as soon as I hung up.
"He asked me to come to the music room with you. They need to discuss something about upcoming competition", I lied gracefully and Nia whined.
"I'm hungry. I need food first", she said and I sighed.
"We'll skip next lecture. Now, come with me", I said and held her hand. I dragged to the music room.
As soon we reached there, I saw Dhruv, Ami, Noor, Kabir and Jass standing outside the room. Jay was nowhere to be seen.
"What are you guys doing outside?", Nia asked. Her eyes roamed all around. She was looking for Jay but couldn't ask about him.
Isn't it's funny? How do our eyes tell our secrets which we never ever dare to speak or accept?
"We're waiting for Jay", Noor said.
"You guys go inside first. We'll join you in a bit", Kabir said.
"Ok", Nia said and holding my hand moved forward to enter the class.
Kabir holds my hand from behind and my heart skipped a beat at his touch. We both turned around and Kabir said, "Wait a second. Leave Aashi outside for a minute. I wanna talk to her". Nia smirked at me and then left without saying anything.
As soon as she entered and closed the door, Kabir left my hand. I was disappointed. We all open the door slowly after ten seconds and peeped inside.
Right in front of me, Jay was standing wearing a white shirt folded up to his elbows and he had paired it with black denim jeans. His hair were gelled and the Rolex watch was just adding ex-factor to his look. He looks just simply wow.
The bouquet of rose in his hand and a smile on his face told the story but still, Nia asked, "What's this? What are you doing here?".
