Chapter 28 - Replacement!!

"Wassup spooky", the book in my hands fall down on ground as soon as I heard his voice.

Groaning, I bent down to pick it up. Calming my rapidly beating heart, I picked up my book and looked up right in Mr. Monkey Malhotra's eyes.

"Hey", he said smiling all brightly as if he's going to be awarded for Oscar this year.

He ain't Leonardo DiCaprio, my heart whispered.

"Can you leave me alone in library atleast?", I asked walking past him and settled on one of the vacant chair and opened my text book.

Kabir ignored my comment and sat next to me. He was annoying me from the morning only.

"But we've to stay together so that our friends got this wrong idea that we're dating", he said and I narrowed my eyes at him.

"I've not said yes to you yet", I replied monotonously.

"But you've not denied yet too", he said with a smirk.

"How long I've to act to be your girlfriend?", I asked with a sigh.

"One week", he said.

"Seven days!", I exclaimed, "That's too much", I added.

"Yeah, that's a lot of torture for me too", he whispered and I raised my eyebrows at him.

"What? It will be a torture for me to see the girl I like behaving like she doesn't have any emotions for me", he spoke placing a hand on his heart dramatically. I rolled my eyes.

I had one emotion for you and that's hatred, my heart whispered.

"Are you done? Now, tell me what am I supposed to do?", I asked and opened my text book to take down notes for my assignment.

"I'll propose you and you've to agree", he said casually and my pen dropped from my hand.

"Pro... Propose?", I asked and he nodded.

"I'll ask you out to be my girlfriend", he said.

"Where?", I asked.

"In front of our friends", he said.

"In front of Noor too?", I asked and he shrugged his shoulder.

"She's also my friend. What's the big deal?", He asked.

"I guess you forgot that she's my cousin. She's family and if she got to know then my mom will also know and I don't want my parents to get hurt because of this fake relationship thing", I said.

"Can you be any more spooky?", He asked miffed. I rolled my eyes and picked up my pen.

"Fine. I'm announcing everyone that you agreed to be my girlfriend and will ask Noor to keep this thing to herself only. She won't say NO to me ever", he told me confidently.
