Escape

Me and my squad are at the University's field. Sa field kami pumunta kasi mas malawak d'on at may maraming lamesa. We sat and placed all the materials that we needed.

We have a long vacant time kaya we used it to do all the tasks na pinapagawa sa amin. Preparation ito para sa upcoming College days. It will start next week Thursday until Saturday.

I sat beside Nico and Alexis. Si Yna and Ivan naman and of course, JC and Tasha. Pero si Travis, hindi pa rin nagpakita.

It's been three days na absent siya. I started to worry even though I said harsh words to him.

I'm even tempted to text him or visit him, to check if he's okay pero sinabihan ako ni JC na huwag muna. That I should give him time and space. I don't know if alam ba ng ibang friends ko kung ano na ang kalagayan ni Travis ngayon. Hindi ko nalang rin sila pinilit. Instead, I keep myself busy with the use of my laptop. Searching for some ideas and designs on how to make a kubo with the materials that we just collected yesterday.

Alexis even showed me the native delicacies na napili niya at ipapakita niya sa group namin, mamaya. We need to meet after our classes everyday.

Ivan complained.

"Hey! Payatot has a name, you know" Yna said while putting shells on the sides a picture frame.

Ivan keeps on complaining about it. He is not used to this kind of work. He finds it tiring and hassle. Based on my observation, Chinese people are hardworking. Pero I don't know with Ivan. Sobrang senyorito! His siblings are already helping with their business. Siya lang ang iyong walang pake.

Teammate sina Ivan at Yna. Tapos ang napili pa kasi ng kanilang grupo ay mga handmade na product with seashells as the design or accessories.
Their leader assigned them to place shells on materials that can be used as accessories.

Ivan growled. "See?

"Who's that payatot ba?" I asked.

"Hay nako! It's just Carla, our team leader, Ellie.

Yna rolled her eyes at him at nag-patuloy sa kanyang ginagawa. These two, para talagang aso't-pusa.

She looked worried so I just gave her a small smile.

"Seryoso?" tanong ni Ivan.

"Yes, I saw his pic on Instagram" Tasha showed her screen to us.

Everyone leaned closer to Tasha para makita iyong photo. Tumayo pa sila Ivan at Yna to see a clearer view.

I don't know but it made me mad. I continued to search for more designs, but there's a part of me wanted to take a peek at Travis' picture pero umaapaw parin iyong galit ko. Maybe, I'll just check it when I get home para hindi na rin nila makita. I sighed.
