Sick
I went to school with colds. Grabe! I'm so annoyed with my nose. Hirap na hirap akong huminga pagka-gising ko, but I think medyo mas okay na iyong pakiramdam ko ngayon kasi uminom na rin ako ng gamot. And I really have to go school right now dahil nasa sakin ang form ng aming team which needs to be passed today.
Pumasok na ako sa aming first class. Nandon na rin halos lahat ng mga estudyante sa klase na iyon. My friends waved at me. I guess they didn't know anong nangyari sa akin kagabi. Mabuti na rin iyon na hindi nila alam. I don't want them to know how idiot I am, but I guess it led to a fun situation pero ang stupid nong first move ko.
I sat down beside Alex. She noticed that my nose is red kaya tinanong niya ako.
"Are you sick, Ell?" she looked worried. She even rubbed my back. Yna looked at me with a concern face.
"It's just colds Alex. Don't worry. I'm fine" I smiled to assure them.
I was startled nang biglang nagsalita si Travis.
"Are you sure you're okay, Ellie? Parang nahihirapan ka diyan sa sipon mo. Do you want me to buy medicines for you?" he asked looking concern too.
I shook my head and slightly smiled pero nawala iyong ngiti ko nang biglang sumingit naman si Ivan.
"Oy... concern si Papa Travy!" pasigaw niya.
Kahit malapit siya sa pintuan, na kaya pa niyang makisali sa amin. Hindi ko pinansin ang sinabi niya. Nagsalita nalang ako.
"I'm totally fine. You guys don't have to worry about me, okay? Sipon lang 'to. Mawawala rin 'to" then I faced front.
Napatingin ako sa left side ko. It's Kiel's chair but it's empty. Wala siya? Maybe he's late or wala pa siya kasi may mga ginagawa pa. He always enters the room with a grand entrance. Until our professor finally came in but he's still not here? Is he absent?
Where is Kiel? Tanong ko sa sarili ko. Memories last night came crashing inside my head. Did he went home directly pagkatapos niya akong hinatid? Oh my God! Or maybe something bad happened to Kiel after he took me home!
"Oh shit. No! No!" pabulong kong sabi sa sarili ko. I started to panick.
"Oy, you're making me worried. What's happening to you?" Alexis said in a low voice.
"Uh.. it's.. it's just nothing" I whispered back.
"Are you really sure? I think you need some rest. Mabuti pa, umuwi ka nalang after this class kaya" she said.
"No, I'm really okay" I shook my head.
Agad kong kinuha ang aking cellphone at nagtype ng message para kay Kiel.
Me: Hi Kiel. How are you?
I waited for his reply, pero wala akong natanggap kahit isa. So, I texted him again. I think na spam ko na yata siya ng mga messages eh.
Me: Why are you absent? I just want to know if you're okay.
Me: Ipapasa ko ba sayo ang form?
Me: Pls reply to my message
Still, I got no reply from him. I even dialed his number pero hindi niya sinasagot. Bigla namang bumilis ang tibok ng puso ko. I kinda felt guilty kasi baka anong masamang nangyari kay Kiel at sigurado ako dahil don sa nangyari kagabi.
