"Why did you do that?!"
Halos pasigaw na tanong ni Kiel, pero hindi ako na i-indimate o natatakot sa tono ng boses niya. Muntik nang mag-kasalubong iyong kilay niya. He is still confused as to what just happened awhile ago.
Hugging his backpack with his one hand while looking at me. I cocked my head to his side. Naka-stop kami ngayon. Instead of answering him, I got my phone and opened the maps. The car in front of us moved forward, signaling me to go.
I handed him my phone with my right hand while my left hand was steering the wheel. I glanced at him to see his reaction pero mas lalong kumunot ang noo niya.
"Ano iyan?" he asked.
From the sound of his voice, mukhang mas lalo siyang naguguluhan. He even called me a crazy girl awhile ago. I should have been insulted, but I wasn't. Especially galing iyon kay Kiel. It made me laugh. Ang cute kaya niya, para talagang bata. Well.. baliw na nga siguro ako.
"Cellphone" I sarcastically answered and then rolled my eyes.
"Alam ko, pero what am I going to do with that?"
"Type your address"
"H-ha? Bakit?" mas lalong kumunot ang noo niya.
"I already went to your house. Don't worry hindi ko nanakawin TV niyo"
I looked at him and laughed. May time pa akong mag-joke. Looking at Kiel, he really looks like a lost puppy waiting for another explanation. Confused and clueless.
"B-bakit mo nga hinihingi a-address ko?" he's stuttering.
Is he like this when he is nervous and confused?
I sighed "Now it's my turn to take you home, okay?"
I glanced at him. His face softened now. Hindi pareho kanina na halos magkaka-wrinkles na siya. Palagi nalang nakakunot ang noo.
"So don't worry. Just chill" dagdag ko pa.
"You don't have to.. I can go home all by myself.." he said it calmly.
"I saw you kaya kanina, halos makipagtulakan ka na sa mga tao na sumasakay sa jeep and then you weren't able to ride so you chose to walk" I even made a face.
"Sanay naman ako, Elodie"
The stop light turned red. I stopped the car and I turned to face him. Tinignan niya rin ako.
"Look Kiel, you took me home last week. You even insisted na ihatid ako hanggang sa gate namin. If hindi mo ako non hinatid, I don't freaking know where will I go, so I owe you that... and now it's payback time. So please, can you just let me do this for you?
I really wanted to pay him back for taking me home last week. I just wanted to do a favor. Sana, maiintidihan naman iyon ni Kiel. He stared at me with his mouth slightly opened and he blinked many times. I handed him back my phone.
Akala ko hindi niya naman iyon tatanggapin pero dahan-dahan niyang kinuha iyon. From my peripheral vision, nagsisimula na siyang mag-type, I secretly smiled.
"I'm done" he handed it back pero hindi ko iyon kinuha.
"Can you press get directions?" I glanced at him "Please?" and purposely blinked my eyes.
