Wow. As if the world could get anymore pop-obsessed.
I am seriously pissed about the VMAS this year.
I was super excited to see the rock category for the VMAS. Between Fall Out Boy, Twenty One Pilots, and Green Day, I had a 3/5 chance of some band I like winning.
And it happened, congrats to Twenty One Pilots on winning! I was very happy when I found out AN HOUR AFTER THE SHOW ENDED.
Seriously, why did we have to be torture not knowing who won for so long afterwards?
I know I know, I should not be complaining. I should be happy that they won. But I was very disappointed that they didn't even air the category on television. I sat on front of my TV for three hours for nothing.
Well except for Pete Wentz. He presented Best Dance (dance) award which was cool. And Fall Out Boy brought those llamas to the VMAS or as they said in a interview, the llamas took them.
Later Jared Leto did a tribute to Chester Bennington of Linkin Park. After talking for a bit he said he had a video of Linkin Park performing back at the 2010 VMAS.
AND AS SOON AS IT STARTS IT FREAKING CUTS TO COMMERCIALS! WHAT KIND OF TRIBUTE IS THAT??
My goodness, I was trying hard not to throw something at the TV. Let's show some respect, shall we? Is MTV that worried about losing viewers because of rock bands that the average person doesn't like? Is that the issue? I was so angry they just skipped over it like that. You know how many other performances I would have loved to skip but sat through anyway?
Okay enough ranting for now. My apologizes.
Let's focus on Twenty One Pilots winning, Pete presenting, and HOW DAMN GOOD JOE LOOKED.
