It was just like every other school sweetheart story. They met in school, fell in love at a young age then live happily ever after, if that after ended at graduation.

No story shows what happened after graduation, they were just ended with a "happily ever after" to give false assurance to the young hearts out there that happy endings exist.

However, so do sad endings.

No one tells you what happens after a beautiful wedding ceremony in a Disney movie. Do they fight? Do they grow distant after their responsibilities grew? Do they even love each other anymore?

It was as if the clock ran out of time. The moment the clock hit midnight, when Cinderella turns back into her true, haggard self, both of them were brought back to reality.

"You," she started, her lips trembling, "got recruited?"

She was holding her breath, this was it.

"Yes, yes I did."

It was his dream. A once in a lifetime opportunity fell into his hands as if it was meant to be. His hard work and passion shone and it created the moment for him.

"Did you accept?"

"Proud, I'm so proud of you."

He could hear her crying and he can't help but let a few tears of his flow down as well. It was silent with a few sniffles and sobs in between.

When the silence and rush from the news settled, it only left them with one question.

"Where do we go next?"

Planned or being spontaneous, they took the risk and continued with their dating, as long as it worked out with them. They were very enthusiastic to make it work for the first few weeks. She would wake up at one in the morning just to call him and he would send her texts in between his breaks.

Slowly, they lost their will to continue on. He would be building friendships whenever he has breaks and she would be sleeping through the calls. They saw this coming, they knew the disadvantages coming along with it.

As if they expected each other to be there, they logged on and saw each other online. Subconsciously, she pressed on the dial button. Within seconds, his face came up on the screen. When the pixels slowly make his face, she saw how tired he looked, but his face still glowed with happiness.

"Hey."

"Hello."

Like back then, a blanket of silence fell on them.
