"I'm really sorry, I can't undo the knot in your heart, please go find someone else. "
Jungkook sighed, this was the fourth therapist that he had been to. The boys noticed that Jungkook started to shut himself down, away from the public and away from them. They knew something was wrong, yet, Jungkook didn't want to admit it.
He truly wanted to get well, for the fans, for the boys. However, once the therapist asked how he was doing, how he was coping, all he did was to fake a smile and say he was fine.
He was lying, and everyone knew it.
He couldn't bring himself to say the truth. When he opens his mouth, words of lies just flow out easily.
His therapists would shake their heads, knowing that he wasn't alright but they can't do anything. If he refuses to speak up about the problem, how were they going to cure him?
So, Jungkook just left that session, disappointed with himself and wondered how was he going to bring himself to tell his hyungs that another therapist just gave up on him.
.
Maybe it was fate.
Maybe it was a concidence.
But Jungkook stumbled onto this website online.
They are people who are willing to lend a listening ear and talk and help him. They are also people who are probably going through the same thing as him and need someone in the same situation as them, to relate to them, to have a connection with them through this.
Soon, Jungkook found himself scrolling down the list of thousands of anonymous people, search for the right one.
Then, his thumb stopped.
What caught his eye was, "sometimes, lies are what protects you in real life."
And that, gave Jungkook the courage to click on the profile and start talking to them.
.
"Hey, just stumbled upon this profile. I wonder if you are interested in talking?"
Sent.
"Shit," Jungkook mumbled to himself. "What if that was too straightforward? Or what if the person thought that I am hitting on them?" He mumbled and started pacing about in his room.
Typing.
He quickly locked his phone and threw it onto his bed. This was such an embarrassing moment for him. He felt as if he didn't thought this through and his body just somehow took control for a moment there.
His phone pinged, signalling that there was a reply. With shaking hands, he looked at his lock screen to see a simple reply,
"Oh hey, nice to meet you! "
"They seem friendly." He thought to himself. A breath of relief escaped his mouth. At least they didn't take it the wrong way. He tapped in his passcode to unlock his phone and typed in a quick reply.
"May I know your name? "
Sent.
"No you can't, I'm sorry."
"No worries, I understand."
Sent.
"So, why did you contact me? "
"I guess, like you, I can't stop lying about my condition. "
Sent.
"Same here, I guess I finally found someone who understands."
.
Soon, Jungkook found himself spilling everything about himself to them. They had never stated about their condition and was just there for Jungkook. Jungkook would set a special ringtone for their messages. Once the familiar sound was heard, Jungkook would abandon everything and immediately reply to them.
They would talk for hours, sometimes until one of them falls asleep. The boys would find Jungkook sleeping on the couch with a smile on his face and they would feel glad.
It was rare to see his genuine smile and this was nothing but pure comfort to them.
Whenever they see him run to his phone, they would leave him alone once his smile appears. They would silently thank the lucky star that was cheering their maknae up. He was getting happier each day and that's all they want for the boy.
.
"Hey can we meet up? "
His finger hovered over the 'send' button. What if they didn't want to meet him? What if they were someone that he knew personally?
However, he was determined to thank them in person.
Within the short time of three months, Jungkook felt the happiness he has not felt in the span of a year. It was refreshing. It was comforting.
And this, was what encouraged him to meet them.
Sent.
Now, to wait for their reply.
.
He wiped his sweaty palms on the sides of his jeans. They have agreed to meet at his unusual time and place. Since he was a celebrity, he couldn't meet at a public area at peak hours. Hence, he could only arrange to meet them at a café at a secluded area, near closing time.
When he pushed open the door, there was only one figure sitting at the back of the café. A drink was placed in front of her and it was still steaming.
It has got to be her, he thought to herself.
He made his way to her quickly.
"Hi, I'm Jungkook. " He held his hand out to her,
"I assume you are the person I've been talking to for the past three months? "
.
