•Where's Elena?•

*3rd person pov*

-The grill-

Lydia was calling everyone. She called Bonnie, Caroline, Damon, Matt, Elena, everyone and no one was answering.
Lydia had been writing Elena's name everywhere, she only noticed when Carol pointed it out. She was doing homework when Carol stopped her asking why Elena's name was all over her paper. Lydia started freaking out.

"Seriously please answer your phone, Elena's in trouble..call me back" Lydia spoke into her phone, sending the voicemail to everyone.
She threw her phone on the passenger side seat and started the engine, she was borrowing Carol's car so she was driving quickly but carfully.
Lydia followed the feeling, where ever she was going was where Elena is so she sped up a little quicker, the feeling getting worse. Lydia started to get nervous when she saw where she was, Wickery Bridge was just ahead.
Lydia rounded the corner and saw a hole in the side of the bridge, oh god she thought, she knew what happened. She stopped the car at the end of the bridge and ran down to the edge of the water. She could faintly see the lights from the car underwater.

Lydia ripped of her jacket and immediately ran into the water, with one last big breathe she went under. She swam down towards Elena, even though her lungs burned for air she kept swimming. As she got closer she could see that it wasn't a car but a truck, Matt's truck.
Lydia swam down further until she was holding onto the truck, she could see Matt's unconscious body still strapped in, Elena looked the same as Matt, though Lydia hoped they were only unconscious and not dead. Soon enough, Lydia was starting to see black spots but she wasn't going to give up, she needed to get her friends out.

Lydia could feel her lungs burning but she kept hitting the windows with every ounce of energy she could muster.
Lydia swam to the top of the water, gasping loudly and coughing up some water that had made its way through to her lungs. She was so tired from the lack of air she had just experienced and the constant hitting on the windows tires her out even more, so much to the point where she was having trouble staying above the water.
She felt someone grab her by the waist and pull her towards shore. Stefan and his hero hair to the rescue once again.

"What the hell are you doing Lydia?!" Stefan yelled out moving her soaking hair out of her face.

"Matt-Matt and Elena are still un-under, you have to hel-help them" Lydia managed to stutter out. Stefan looked back at the water and then back to the shaking girl in front of him. He took off his jacket and placed it over her hoping it would warm her a bit and then he ran into the water.

A couple minutes later Stefan came back up gasping for air though not as dramatically as Lydia had just been. He carried Matt over to where Lydia was sitting lying him down and then running back into the water to get Elena.
Lydia immediately moved toward Matt, silently thanking her dad for being so hard on her, if he hadn't been she never would've felt the need to impress him so much. She took a CPR class and became one of the best students. It was definitely paying off now.

Lydia pushed on Matt's chest, checking for any signs of breathing, his heart was still beating so that was what motivated Lydia. She would keep his heart beating, she wasn't going to let him die. After one final push, Matt started coughing up water earning a relived sigh from Lydia. She immediately hugged him while he hugged her back, they were both terrified and a hug was the only form of comfort at the moment.

-Hospital-

Lydia hated hospitals. She always felt death looming around and she hated it. Stefan had gotten Elena out but she was so injured front he accident, Lydia couldn't risk giving her CPR in fear she would hurt her even more.
Elena's pulse was very slow but it was still there. Lydia had gone out to sit in her car, she was starting to get that feeling again. Elena was in surgery, Matt was getting a checkup, and Stefan was waiting inside for information on what was going on.

Lydia sat in silence for a while, she was thinking again. Elena is in surgery right now, Stefan saved her just in time, why is the feeling of death still drawing Lydia towards her?
She could hear the voice start, that only happened when someone was about to die..though she was in a hospital so maybe it was someone else.
She turned up the music, hoping it would block out the sounds but they only got louder. Lydia did everything she could to hold it down but she couldn't. She didn't have the energy to fight it, so she did the one thing she that was fighting back so hard. She screamed.

Stefan came running out as soon as he heard her scream, he thought she was in danger so he used his vampire speed, making sure no one saw. He saw Lydia's car and ran over, the music was blasting and Lydia had tears streaming down her face.
He opened her door quickly, turning the music off and grabbing her arms, pulling her out of the car.

"I heard you scream.." he said with concern, Lydia let out another sob as more tears streamed down her face. Stefan pulled her into a hug...he felt his stomach do flips when she wrapped her arms around him tightly, she felt hers flip too. She pulled away from him and wiped her eyes.

"Someone just died Stefan" she whispered looking at the ground, he just stared at her not knowing what to do, not knowing what to say.

"Do you know who it was?" He asked while bending down to look into her eyes, she nodded and stared into his green eyes with her teary ones.

"Elena".
