•You need to leave•

*3rd person pov*

-Lockwood mansion-

Klaus had carried Lydia back to the Lockwood mansion, she was so emotionally drained from what she had just witnessed she could barely stand on her own.
Giving her a hug and a weak smile he sped off leaving Lydia to stand in front of the door by herself. With a shaky hand she opened the door and stepped in, immediately Stefan was in front of her, Carol running out behind him.

"Lydia where the hell have you been?!" Stefan spoke loudly, worry written all over his face. Lydia didn't buy it though, sending him a glare she walked past him sending a small smile to Carol showing her she was alright.
Carol took the hint that she didn't want to talk about it right now and sent her a sympathetic smile back. Lydia marched upstairs on a mission to get to her room without Stefan following her up.

"What happened Lydia? Where did you go?" Stefan asked grabbing onto her arms as he sped in front of her. She looked at him like he had four eyes, that expression was quickly wiped away and turned into one of pure anger.

"I think you need to leave Stefan." She spoke with authority, she wasn't backing down this time. Now he was staring at her like she had four eyes, what did he do wrong?

"Not until you tell me what's wrong.." he answered back with the same authority she spoke with though his was less hostile.

"You wanna know what's wrong Stefan? You are. All of you are. You've been hanging around me these last few days pretending like you actually wanted to be here to distract me from your little plan, well it didn't work Stefan. I was just at the Gilbert house because I felt an unimaginable amount of death near and the only words flashing through my head were Kol and Gilbert. Now being the genius I am I pieced the puzzle together and came to the conclusion that even after they backed off, even after they stopped trying to hurt you guys you lot still wanted to kill them. I called klaus and told him to meet me at the Gilbert home because Kol was in trouble, when I got there I saw Jeremy stab a white oak stake through his heart while Elena held him down. Bonnie used a spell that blocked Klaus from leaving the living room and when he was finally allowed out, he brought me here and went to tell his siblings that the Gilbert's killed their brother. Elena tried apologizing and I didn't want to hear it, I don't want to hear you apologize either. I really don't know why you would pretend to be my friends only to hide what was really going on, what I do know though is that I don't want to see any of you! Please get out Stefan." She finally finished her rant and shoved past him walking up the rest of the steps.

"You think I only hung out with you to distract you?" He asked with a hint of anger in his voice, Lydia stopped for a second and then continued towards her room

"You think I only hung out with you to distract you?" He asked with a hint of anger in his voice, Lydia stopped for a second and then continued towards her room.
Yet again Stefan sped in front of her stopping her movements.

"Do you really think I had any part of this? I know they are your friends and even though they aren't mine, I respect that they are yours. I would never try killing any of them, I promise you Lydia I didn't know about this" he said, the irritation wearing off as he looked into her green eyes.

"I think you need to leave Stefan" Lydia whispered looking at her bedroom door behind him. Tears starting to well up again, she held them in though she wouldn't cry in front of him.
The irritation resurfaced in Stefan as he let out an annoyed sigh, walking past her and heading back down the stairs. The front door slammed shut signalling that he had left.
Lydia sat on the floor in her room, leaning against the door as she let the tears stream down her face freely.
What is wrong with her life? Why does everyone keep dying?

She sighed as she finished brushing out her hair, she had just changed into a pair of pajamas and was getting ready for bed

She sighed as she finished brushing out her hair, she had just changed into a pair of pajamas and was getting ready for bed.
A knock on the door brought her out of the staring contest she was having with herself in the mirror. Carol opened the door with the same sympathetic smile on her face.

Lydia stared at Carol for a few seconds before running into her open arms, letting more tears stream down her face as she held on tightly to the woman who gave birth to her.
Carol smiled and held her back just as tight, this was the first time Lydia had ever hugged her, truly hugged her, with meaning. It wasn't just an I'll see you later hug it was a real I need you hug, it was a please don't let go hug.

"Everyone I love leaves me.." Lydia sobbed out pulling away slightly to look at Carol.
"Please don't leave me" Lydia whispered, those four words broke Carols heart, with another sympathetic smile she nodded.
"I won't leave you, I promise". That was enough for Lydia to stop the waterworks. Hugging Carol tightly once more, she whispered goodnight and crawled into bed.
Carol smiled at her daughter and whispered goodnight as she turned off the light and closed the door behind her.
