                              •Only a kiss•

*3rd person pov*

-The forest-

The kiss only lasted a few seconds, Stefan pulled away first not sure if he made the right move. He knew that he wanted to kiss her but he wasn't sure if she wanted the same.
Lydia wondered why he had pulled away so quickly, maybe he was only trying to shut her up she thought. They both took a step back, lips aching to touch again, breathes waiting to mingle again.
The sun had started rising, the light hitting the two flustered teenagers, their green eyes shining brightly with love and lust.

"Oh fuck it" Stefan muttered stepping towards Lydia, grabbing her face in his hands, kissing her again. Lydia's hands immediately flew up to Stefan's, leaning into the kiss.
Stefan's hands moved to her waist, her hands moving to run through his hair. Stefan used his vampire speed to move them to a tree, pushing Lydia against it while running his hands down her hips and to her thighs.
He grabbed the bottom of her thighs, picking her up, pushing her against the tree again.

"Stefan-" Lydia tried speaking but she was cut off by Stefan's lips. Stefan hummed in response to Lydia, kissing down her jaw and to her neck.
She moaned when he found her sweet spot, she could feel him smirking against her neck.
Lydia ran her hands down his chest and then down his stomach, she could feel his abs as she did and she smirked as she heard him let out a strangled breathe.

Lydia unwrapped her legs from his waist putting them on the ground as she pushed him away. He stared at her with lust and love, he went kiss her again but Lydia had another idea.
She smirked as he went to kiss her but she stepped to the side before he could get to her, picking up her bag and fixing her hair.

"I'm gonna go home, Carol is probably freaking out" she said with an innocent smile, turning on her heel and walking into the now well lit forest. Stefan let out a frustrated sigh and followed behind her.

-Lockwood mansion-

Lydia opened the front door, Stefan had sped her home and then left after stealing a sneaky kiss. As soon as she had walked in Carol, all of her girl friends, and Tyler were in her face in an instant.

"Where the hell were you?!" Tyler asked walking closer, grabbing her arms and checking for injuries. Lydia rolled her eyes and told them that she snuck out earlier to see Stefan, they needed to talk and they didn't want everyone right on them listening to their every word. Thankfully they bought it, at least Carol and Tyler did.

Lydia walked up into her room, her friends following closely behind. Lydia threw her bag onto her chair and went to brush her hair.

"You snuck out huh?" Allison asked with a knowing smirk. Lydia just hummed in response.
"Weren't you wearing that outfit yesterday?" Bonnie asked with a smile. Lydia sighed and looked at them.
"What do you want me to tell you?" She asked with a sigh, knowing that they knew she was lying.
"Uh everything!" Malia added with a duh tone.

"Yeah, you disappear yesterday and don't come home until the morning in yesterday's clothes might I add..something happened with you and Stefan didn't it?!" Caroline asked loudly. Lydia immediately shushed her friends and sighed, concocting another lie, this one would be more believable.

"Okay okay I'll tell you just be quiet, you're little plan at the grill was pretty obvious. I knew what you were doing the second I sat down, I played along because it was funny watching. Anyway, Stefan and I both knew what you were doing and we wanted to talk privately, I also know you were listening when we were talking at the boarding house, we acted like we were going our separate ways so that none of you would follow. He used his vampire speed so that we could get away without any of you noticing, we were both quiet for a few minutes but we started talking about his ripper days....he brought me into his memories, he showed me what he was like. He thought I would hate him for it but I don't, I could never. We did get in an argument after, he kept saying he was a monster and stuff and I kept telling him that he couldn't scare me off. We cooled down after a little while and then he took me home." She told them with a look on fake honesty painted on her face.
"What?! You didn't have hot sex with a vampire in the forest?" Caroline asked like what she said was totally normal.
"Woah what? No Caroline" Lydia told her acting like she was appalled by what was just said. Well she wasn't lying, they just made out...like a lot.

"Did you guys at least kiss?" Bonnie asked with a smile, looking at the other girls who were just as eager to know the answer.
"No..?" Lydia said quietly and almost like a question.
"Ahhh you totally did!!!" Caroline shouted happily clapping her hands together causing the other girls to laugh and cheer as well. Lydia rolled her eyes at their childish behaviour before smiling slightly.
"It was just a peck guys, we don't really know where we stand relationship wise, we'll have to talk about that sometime too" Lydia sighed, acting like they didn't almost have sex in the middle of the forest.
"I'm sure you guys will be together soon, he really likes you Lydia" Elena said with an encouraging smile. Lydia just smiled back, happy that they bought that lie.

Lydia turned around and went into her closet to get changed, she heard her friends start talking again while she changed.
She started thinking about Stefan. They definitely didn't talk about their relationship, they just talked about Stefan's past and then made out.
Lydia felt her phone vibrate, she got a text from Stefan. He told her that he would be over later so that they could talk, Lydia answered back with a quick of course and then went out to join her friends.
She was excited to hang out with her friends and have a girl day but she could feel a nervous knot in her stomach. She didn't really know what Stefan wanted to talk about, all she knew was that to her...it wasn't only a kiss.
