-The grill-
The new group of friends were sat around a few tables, laughing, drinking, and having a good time. Stefan and Lydia had walked in late, seeing the knowing smirks of her friends caused her to roll her eyes to show that nothing happened.
Everyone laughed and ate while telling stories about their lives, most of them seemed to involve almost being killed by supernatural beings but whatever."So how did you guys meet?" Allison asked Lydia while glancing at Stefan with a small smirk. Lydia sent her best friend a small glare and the proceeded to give them a short explanation.
The conversations continued, Lydia was eating her fries when she someone staring, she was met by a pair of beautiful green eyes. While their little stare off happened, the group shared subtle smirks and winks, their plan was in motion.
As the night was coming to an end, the group had set their plan in motion. Caroline and Tyler were the first to leave, and then Matt and Jeremy who offered to show the beacon hills guys where the hotel was, Bonnie and Malia had left shortly after the boys did, leaving Allison, Elena, Damon, Stefan and Lydia.
Lydia new they were up to something, their not so subtle winks and giggles gave it away when the night started. Lydia decided to throw their plan of the rails."Allison I was wondering if you wanted to sleep over tonight? We haven't had a sleep over in ages?" She smiled innocently, knowing Allison wouldn't be able to say no.
"Oh umm..." Allison stuttered back, clearly not ready for that. Elena saw Allison about to give in so she stepped in quickly saving the plan."She can't we have to talk about...Katherine, I know how much you hate her so we didn't tell you!" Elena said while giving a relieved look to Allison.
"I don't hate her, I've never even met her" Lydia shot back with an innocent look on her face.
Allison and Elena started talking, trying to come up with a better excuse while Lydia sent Stefan and look, he knew what she meant.
"It's okay, you guys can talk about Katherine I'm just gonna go home" Lydia said while grabbing her bag.
"You're going alone?" Elena asked quickly, too quickly.
"..yes.." Lydia said making herself look confused.
"Stefan, you don't wanna drive her home?" Allison asked quickly.
"I think I'm just gonna head back to the boarding house actually, I'll see you guys later." And with that he walked out of the grill leaving two extremely shocked and confused brunettes."Bye guys, I'll see you later okay" Lydia said with a smile as she stood up, walking towards the door. She stopped suddenly turning to ace her friends with a smirk placed on her lips.
"Next time, to be so obvious" she spoke with a sass and a playful smirk.
Allison, Damon and Elena were shocked, how did she figure out what they were doing? They didn't have anytime to ask her because she was already out the door.Lydia walked towards the road when she felt a hand cover her mouth and an arm wrap around her waist. She would've screamed if she hadn't already know who it was. Stefan Salvatore.
The hand let go of her mouth and and wrapped around her waist with the other one."Scared you" she heard, she rolled her eyes turning around in his arms while throwing hers around his neck.
"You don't scare me" she whispered back with a small smile. Stefan smiled and in the blink of an eye he had used his vampire speed to zoom off. When he stopped running, he let go of his tight grip on Lydia, smiling down at her as she clung onto him.
He took her to the quarry, why she had no idea."Why are we here?" She asked in wonder as she took small steps towards the water, looking around at the beautiful scenery.
"I always came here when I was human, to get away from everything..it was a calming place that made me happy so I wanted to show you it." He answered back while staring at the treetops with a small smile.
Lydia looked at Stefan with a happy smile, she new about how he was turned and what he is like now as a vampire but he never told her about his ripper days, she wanted to know but she didn't want to push him so she'd wait until he'd tell her."Sit with me" Stefan whispered as he sat down on the grass looking towards the starry night. Lydia smiled a little and walked towards him, sitting down beside the vampire she sighed with content while staring up at the stars.
"I know you want to know about my past.." he looked over at her with an uneasy look in his eyes. He really liked Lydia, he wanted nothing more than to be able to call her his but what he was about to do might throw the chance of that happening away."I don't want you to tell me because you feel you have to, I want you tell me because you want to tell me. I know you're worried that I might see you as a monster after but I think you're forgetting about my original friends who have done horrible things for a very long time, I don't see them as monsters and I will never see you as a monster either." As she said this she ended up on her knees holding Stefan's cheeks in her cold hands.
A small smile made its way onto his face as she said that, now he was really worried about what she'd think after she saw what he's done."If you really want to know...I can show you my memories..." he whispered quietly, not moving his face from her hands. She smiled and nodded as she let go of his face, getting comfortable as she sat closer to him.
He took of his jacket and wrapped it around the strawberry blonde, pulling her into his chest."Are you ready for this?" He asked with a worried tone, she smiled at him and nodded, his worry wavering slightly.
With a deep sigh he grabbed onto her tightly, wrapping his arms tightly around the girl he was falling in love with, taking her into his mind to watch the memories he tried so hard to forget.
