•Not a monster•

*3rd person pov*

-Forest-

Stefan let go of Lydia, his unbeating heart pounding in his chest. He just showed her memories of himself literally ripping people's heads off, draining every drop of blood, killing hundreds of people.
Lydia wasn't going to lie, she was shocked. For a second she just stared at the water in front of her, feeling the gaze of a certain vampire on her.

"Please say something..." Stefan whispered as he watched her stare at the water, oh god she hated him now this was stupid why did he do this.
Lydia snapped out of her staring contest with the water and made her decision. Without any warning she whipped her body around and threw her arms tightly around Stefan's neck.

"You're not a monster.." she whispered, feeling Stefan's arms make their way around her middle, pulling her even closer in fear that if he didn't, she'd disappear.
"You saw what I did Lydia, I killed hundreds of people for the hell of it, I ripped people up, I am a monster Lydia, I'm a ripper...wether I like it or not." He spoke quietly, loosening his grip on the girl as he got angrier.
Lydia noticed this so she pulled back from the hug, keeping her arms on his neck.

"You aren't a monster Stefan, that was in the past..this is now and right now you are one of the most kindhearted people I have ever met, you would risk anything to save the people you care about. Monsters don't do that." She spoke as calmly as she could, staring into his forest green eyes.
"You don't get it Lydia, I killed people for fun, I took lives-destroyed lives, families, everything." He moved her over so he could get up, scared that if he got too angry he'd hurt her.

"That was in the past Stefan, we can't change the past no matter how much we want to. Sure you did horrible things but you had no control over that. You had no one helping you..but right now you have me and I know you're trying to push me away in case you hurt me but I'm not going down without a fight. I'm not leaving you Stefan!" She answered back with a louder voice, getting angry because he wouldn't listen.

Stefan could feel it, he could feel his gums starting to ache, the veins fighting to crawl up to his eyes. He turned around quickly when they did, hiding his face from Lydia.
He felt a hand on his shoulder blade, he could feel his anger slowly melting away with her touch but suddenly it shot back like a bullet.
Stefan used his vampire speed to push Lydia against a tree, his face vamping out. Lydia's eyes widen in fear at the sudden movement but when she saw his face, the fear was quickly replaced by wonder and confidence.
She was almost certain that no matter what, he wouldn't hurt, and even if he tried all she'd have to do is scream.

"You don't scare me" she whispered, looking into his bloodshot green eyes, watching the veins crawl under his eyes, and finally stopping at his fangs that were just aching to rip into her neck.
Without really thinking her plan through, she slipped her arms up between their close bodies, his arms were trapping her between his body and the tree.
She slowly moved them up to his shoulders and the to his neck and finally to his face.
