-Boarding house-

Lydia walked upstairs looking back at her friends dancing around the living room, drinks in hand.  She sighed and continued up the stairs, heading towards Stefan's room.
His door was open a crack, she pushed the door open a bit and saw him sitting at his desk writing something.
She took a small step into his room, he must've heard her because he looked up, looking back down at his journal.

"Hi" she whispered playing with her hands, she was nervous, she didn't know how he'd react.

     He looked up slowly sighing.
"Lydia" he spoke quietly. Lydia felt her heart clench, he didn't want to talk to her. She felt tears fighting their way up but she pushed them down, she wasn't going to cry in front of him.

"I wanted to apologize.." she said with a quiet voice, not moving from her spot.  Stefan just nodded slowly.  Lydia took in a deep breathe, taking a small step forwards.
"I'm sorry for accusing you of helping them kill Kol, I know this isn't an excuse but I wasn't in the right state of mind, it just made sense in my head. You started hanging around me when they were planning that and you were over when it happened and I don't know I just thought you were keeping me distracted so I wouldn't know what was going on but-" Stefan cut her off with a small scoff.

"Do you really think I would do that to you Lydia? I was 'hanging around' because I wanted to. I wanted to make sure you were okay and you accused me of killing your friend even after I told you I didn't."

"I know you're mad-" Lydia spoke up again, this time a little louder than before.

"You think I'm mad about that? You don't get it do you?" He said while standing up, throwing his pen onto the table and walking around it. Lydia froze in her place once again.
"No I know-" she tried but Stefan spoke up again, cutting her off.
"No you don't Lydia. Yes I was frustrated when you didn't believe me, yes I was frustrated when you ignored me for days.." he said, taking small steps towards Lydia.
Lydia stayed quiet, not knowing what to say.
