Chapter 15 - Mamma

As soon as we got off the plane we rushed Ms. Anderson to the hospital she had a treatment to get to. Me and Sean stuck around in her hospital room until she was finished.

When she came back she wanted to go to sleep immediately so we left her to be and went to my condo. I made us some baked chicken, mashed potatoes, and corn. I brought the food to my den and sat on the couch with Sean.

"This is hard to watch." He says looking at his food.

"I know it is, but it'll be better soon okay." I touched his shoulder and he looked at me.

"I know it will, but does she want to suffer til she passes." He says thinking aloud.

I think he is finally coming to terms with the fact that his mom is dying. "That all depends on her."

"Your right." He nodded, before starting to eat.

We went back to the hospital. Talked to the doctor she has about a 1 week left. It brought tears to my eyes and Sean didn't look any better. We calm down a bit, before going into her room. She was awaje just laying in bed year streaks stained her face. She looked to be deep in thought.

I knocked on the door frame to get her attention as me and Sean stood in the door way. She looked up at us slowly and said "On Tuesday I want to go. Its your father's birthday too."

We where all silent for a few minutes. Then she spoke again "I don't wanna be in pain and go through these treatments of they aren't helping shit. Sean baby I know this is hard but you are a strong man you can make it through this okay. Jhene I know we havent known eachother long, but I want you to kbow that I think if you like a daughter of mine. On thurs day I want to see you both separately Jhene I wanna see you first then you Sean and after I finish with you both of you come in."

We nodded as tears streaked everyone's faces. We hugged her and went back to Sean's condo.

The next two days was slow and nothing was really said all we did was lay around the house all day preparing ourselved mentally. Today's the day, then in two more days we have her funeral.

We got Sean's driver to drive us to the hospital. Outside the door I sighed and hugged Sean tightly before I went in. Ms. Anderson had a smile on her face and her eyes where low. I hugged her and sat next to her on the bed.

"Jhene I love you dearly sweetie." She started taking my hand.

"I love you too Ms. Anderson." I say blinking away tears.

"First off I wanna say I'm happy that you found my Sean. You clearly make him very happy. I wish they you two stay together, but things do happen. Though I know that you two will push threw them and stay together, forever. I dont want either of you two to be sad about my passing I want you both to celebrate my death and not mourn over it. I chose to do this so I will be able to go back home to my father in my turms. Not waste time to get worse and make y'all and myself even sadder that I have to suffer. Thus is how I want to go. Almost peacefully." She paused as she wiped away my tears.

"Again I love you Jhene and I want you and Sean to continue to make each other better and happy okay." She smiled at me and all I could do was nod. "Now go get Sean for me."

We both watches as the doctor injects Ms. Anderson. She looked up as is and asked "Do you guys need anything?"

We shook our heads no and she smiled as her eyes slowly fluttered closed. I kissed her cheek and Sean hugged her. We stood there for a bit and cried. Then the doctor came in and took her body away.

Me and Sean went back to my condo and sat in scilence for the rest of the day.

Its been two days and today is the day. At the funeral today Sean wrote something but couldn't get the words out; he was so overwhelmed with emotions. His auntie took the letter away from him and read it. Sean just came back by me and I help his hand for comfort.

Two weeks later

"Baby." I tapped Sean on the shoulder he just continued to lay with his face in the pillows.

"Baby!" I shook him becoming impatient.

"What Ne?"

"You need to eat." I say trying to pull him off the bed and he groaned.

"I'm not in the mood." He sighed and looked the other way.

"Fine Sean do whatever."
