So, Johnny had the intension of spending the night over there. Whenever Dallas and I come over, he usually gets so drunk that we end up having to spend the night over at the Curtis house hold anyway. We loaded up some sleeping bags and a few snacks and went over to the park. It was freezing. I don't know why it was so cold on a summer night, and I don't know why Johnny had the stupidest idea to do this when it's practically below freezing.

Ponyboy must've noticed my shivering. Heck, my teeth are chattering and I'm hugging myself for warmth.

"Hey, take my jacket. You'll be a lot warmer.", Pony offered.

"No, then you'll be cold. I'll get a blanket.", I suggested.

"Kyrie Ann-Elizabeth Winston, you are going to take my jacket and I will get the blanket.", Pony reoffered with a smile on his face from the fact he used my full name. He was holding out his jacket.

"I can't believe you.", I said laughing and putting on the jacket.

"Can ya'll catch up, slow pokes?", Johnny asked yelling at us. Pony and I both laughed and ran to catch up with Johnny.

Fifteen to twenty minutes passed by and we decided to play truth or dare. The only thing is, we were mainly playing truth or truth.

"Kyrie, have you ever...done something you regret?", Johnny asked.

"Not that I can think of at the moment.", I answered. Then, I turned to Ponyboy. I'm hoping that this isn't the one and only time someone picks dare, because I really wanted to ask this question.

"Pony, truth or dare?", I asked.

"Um, truth.", Pony answered.

"Let's see, um, do you still like Cherry?", I exaggerated a little to try and not make me look obvious.

"Hold that thought.", Pony whispered as we all three looked up and saw a couple of socs.

"Well, well, if it isn't a couple of greasers and look there boys, one of them has a girl.", Randy, their leader said.

"Maybe they all want a hair cut.", some other soc suggested. Fear crept all through me. We got up and Johnny had his switch blade out along with Ponyboy. Pony was mainly focused on me and trying to protect me more than Johnny was. If Johnny knew what happened, he would do the same thing.

"If I were you I'd leave, don't you remember what happened to Bob?", Johnny asked.

"Yeah, that's why we're here. To seek revenge. First, we'll tie you and your buddy over there up, then we'll have some fun with the girl and you guys get to watch. We'll kill her, then since you killed my best friend you can watch me kill yours, and then your turn.", Randy explained. I latched on to Pony for dear life. Johnny was only a couple of feet away from us. Out of no where I felt someone grab me from behind and cover my mouth. They pulled me away from Pony, who turned around and didn't bother to help.

"Hey, don't freak out it's ok.", someone whispered in my ear. I looked up and it was Darry. In relief I latched on to him.

"Don't let the socs get Johnny and Ponyboy.", I begged Darry.

"They won't. Just go get in my truck and I'll get the boys. Make sure you lock the door so no soc can pull you out.", Darry instructed. He led me to the truck, and tagged along Two-Bit, Steve, and Soda. Dally must be back at the house, passed out drunk on Darry's couch. I was in the front seat when two socs started beating on the window. The boys were too busy fighting off the other ones to acknowledge my screams. I started to cry as the socs were beating at windows. I looked up and saw greasers swarming in to help us out. A smile lit up when two of them grabbed the ones attacking the truck. I saw all the greasers every where I looked. All but Ponyboy. Now I'm worried. What if a soc kidnapped him? What if they planned on killing him?

"Kyrie, open the door!", Pony begged beating on the window. I crawled over to the driver's side and unlocked his door. Then, I pulled Pony in and slammed the door and locked it before a soc tried to get in again. Pony was breathing heavy and had blood all over his shirt.

Are you ok, Pony?", I asked worried.

"Yeah, I'm fine.", Pony answered, "You?"

I nodded my head. I noticed a side of his face was getting swollen. I turned his head toward me and squinted my eyes to make sure it was what I saw.

"Is that a black eye?", I asked.

"Probably, I don't care though, it ain't the first.", Pony answered.

"Who's blood?", I asked concerned.

"Some soc.", Pony answered.

"Is he, you know?", I asked.

"No, I only cut his arm, I promise.", Ponyboy answered me. He finally got his breathing under control. I reached under Darry's seat and pulled out a First Aid kit that I snuck under there, just incase Darry hurt himself at work.

"What are you doing?", Pony asked.

"Trying to help your eye.", I answered digging through the box. I felt a hand approach my face. It moved the hair in my eye to behind my ear.

"The answer to your truth question is no. No, I don't like Cherry anymore.", Pony told me. I looked up and slid the box back under the seat.

"Truth or dare?", Pony asked.

I smiled, "Dare."

"Kiss me.", Pony said. That's exactly what I did, too. I leaned in and kissed him. It's amazing how one night can go from scary to amazing.
