Soda's P.O.V (;

Ponyboy and Kyrie just went to bed. I don't care how much I tell Kyrie that I accept the fact that she's with Pony, I don't. I CAN'T! I love her. More than I did Sandy. I'm glad Pone's back, but I wish he wasn't engaged to her. My heart is also broken from losing the only thing made from Kyrie and me.

"Soda, you ok? You've been staring at the wall for ten minutes now.", Dally asked.

"Yeah, yeah I'm ok."

"Thinking about some girl, huh?", Steve but in.

I sighed, "Maybe." I got up and went to bed. I didn't want to be bothered by them.

At around three am, I heard soft sobs waking me up.

"Soda, Sodapop.", Kyrie nudged.

"Kyrie? Kyrie, what's wrong?", I asked, sleeply.

"I'm just upset about the baby. I feel like it's my fault it's gone.", she answered. I sat up in shock.

"No, Kyrie, it's no one's fault. God just wanted the baby back, that's all.", I reassured. "Besides, if it's anyone's fault, it's the socs."

She sighed," I guess you're right." I reached over and rubbed her shoulder. She gave me a sly smile. Then, she got up and went towards the door.

"Hey, Kyrie, if Pony never back...would we be together?", I asked.

"Maybe, I don't know.", she answered. "Goodnight, Pepsi-Cola."

"Night, Little Miss Winston."

Kyrie's P.O.V

I went back to bed. Once I got comfortable, my mind went racing.

Would Soda and I date if Pony never came back? Would I still be pregnant? Do I love Soda?

I glanced over at Pony. He looked so beautiful. I leaned over and kissed his forehead.

No! I can't love Soda! I love Ponyboy! I'm engaged to him. I can never love anyone else after what happened Christmas.

Oh what am I saying? I told Soda I loved him at the hospital. I do love him. But, not as much as Pony. I don't know maybe I'm tired.

I closed my eyes and finally got some sleep.

The next morning, I woke up with no Ponyboy beside me. I crawled out of bed and went into the living room. Still no sight of Pone. All I saw was Two-Bit, Johnny, Soda, Dally, and Steve.

"Where's Pony?", I asked.

"He said he's checking on something. Darry went to work and we have the day off.", Steve answered. I nodded and walked into the kitchen. I opened up the fridge and grabbed a bottled water. When I walked back into the living room, Ponyboy came in.

"Oh am I glad to see you.", he said, running and picking me up.

"Pony, what's going on?", I squirmed.

"I picked up a tux today, because I had the great idea of getting married at a courthouse now and then save for a real wedding.", he explained.

"No, we can't.", I replied.

"Why?", he asked, with hurt in his eyes. I looked around the room and notice the guys starring. Soda had hurt in his eyes, as well. Dally had anger, and the rest had shock.

"I'm not eighteen yet.", I answered, as an excused.

"You will tomorrow. Considered this a gift.", he replied. Tomorrow? Oh snap! My birthday is tomorrow! So much has happened I forgot my own birthday.

"Ugh, Pony, don't you think everything is happening too fast?", I asked.

"I didn't think so. I mean, we've been dating for three years.", he answered.

"Technically a month and a half. I thought you were dead for three years.", I replied. He put me down.

"Do you not love me? Is that what it is?", he asked.

"No, no Ponyboy, I'm madly in love with you. I just don't know if I'm ready to get married.", I answered.

"Then, why did you say you would marry me?", He asked.

"Because, I love you and the day we make it official, I'm gonna be ready. I'm just ready to be engaged.", I answered. He sighed and gave me a crooked smile. I leaned in and kissed his cheek. His smile got even bigger and he pulled me closer. He leaned down and kissed me passionately. He broke away and everyone went back to their business.

I went back to the kitchen, since Pony took my water bottle. Soda followed behind and came to talk.

"Thanks for not getting married tomorrow. I still love you, and that would've killed me to see that.", he said.

"I'm not ready. I'm still confused about my feelings, ya know?", I replied. He nodded.

"You're also too young. I know I shouldn't be talking since I wanted to marry Sandy, but now that I see someone else in my same situation. I just want to protect y'all.", He said. I smiled and left the kitchen.
