Sequal Chapter 3

Then it hit me, that guy is...

"Pony?", I asked in a whisper. "Soda, am I-"

"No, that's really him. Now go love him.", Soda answered. My face lit up into a bright smile. I felt warm, happy tears fill up my eyes. I ran towards him and gave him the biggest hug in the world. He picked me "Koala Style" and we stared into each other's eyes.

"I've missed you so much.", I said.

"I've missed you, too. Even though I got to see you the past few days, I never got to hold you like I've been longing for.", he replied.

"You've grown up so much.", I said.

"Me? Have you looked in the mirror, Ky?", He asked.

"I smashed it last night, thinking about you.", I answered. We both laughed.

"Are y'all just gonna stand there? Kiss!", Johnny demanded. I looked at Pony, who was blushing and grinning. I leaned in and kissed him. It was long and passionate and awkward since the guys were there.

"C'mon, I'll explain everything at the park.", Pony instructed. He let me down and we held hands walking down the side walk.

"So, how have you been?", he asked.

"Miserable, I smoke more, drink like Two-Bit, dropped out of school. Went from "Pony's Girl" to "Dally's sexy sister".", I answered.

"Wow, I'm sorry. ", he apologized.

"That ain't even half of it. On the bright side, I haven't hooked up with anyone and I still wear the promise ring.", I replied. He looked down at my hand and smiled. "Pone, what happened? Why did you leave me like that and show up three years later?"

"Well, that night, that soc that was attacking you was your cousin and it was all a set up from your dad. Instead, they kidnapped the wrong person, me. That had a picture of you in his pocket, but still grabbed me. He was missing a sleeve from when I tore it off trying to run back to you.We had on the same color jacket, so that's what confused police. That body was him. His buddies were fighting with him and pushed him in the creek and he hit his head and died. They wrapped him up and let him continue floating down the creek. They took me up to New York and sent me to your dad. He kept me hostage for two and a half years, until he committed suicide. I got a full time job and scrapped up the money to come back home and see you. I seen you at the Elvis concert and was surprised you didn't recongnize me. We stared at each other for a good five seconds. I seen you at the gravesite, now that one was a coincidence. I was the guy holding the newspaper at the DX. I seen you at the park. I figured you got tired of going places and not even see me, so I decided as my last letter to make it where you go to the living room.", Pony explained. I looked at him and smiled.

"Pone, these past three years have been crap. I swear I went crazy.", I said.

"Well, since I explained everything before we made it to the park, let's go to the Dingo.", he suggested. I smiled and nodded. I haven't been this happy in awhile.

When we walked in I noticed Cherry and her group of soc sluts.

"Moved on from Pony I see? It took long enough.", she remarked. I winked at Ponyboy before I said anything.

"Yeah, this guy's name is Horseman.", I replied. She gave me a dirty look and left. Ponyboy was laughing so hard he was crying.

"Where in the world did you come up withh Horseman.", he asked.

"I don't know, first thing that popped to mind.", I answered, taking one of his french fries.

"Why didn't you order something if you're hungry?", He asked.

"Cuz, I'm not. I just wanted a french fry.", I answered, taking a swing of his Pepsi.

"What am I gonna do without you?", he asked.

"Probably the same thing you did the past three years.", I answered.

"So, I'm gonna lose my mind again?", he asked. I looked at him and surprised that he lost his mind the same way I did.

"How did my dad die?", I asked.

"He sliced his own neck. I watched. I tried to stop him, I did everything I could, Ky.", he answered.

"It's fine, he's better off dead.", I replied. "Dally know?"

"Not yet. I haven't seen Dal.", he answered. "C'mon, let's get out of here."

~* Short chapter and a sucky one, I know. I decided to kind of rush this chapter because I'm about to watch Secret Admirer with C. Thomas Howell in it (the guy who plays Ponyboy). Anyways, If you paid attention, I did say major plot twists and this was pretty major. *~
