Chapter 17

*Ponyboy's P.O.V*

"Kyrie, get up, we have to get ready to go to the fair.", I tickled her.

"Pony, stop tickling me.", she said through laughs.

"Youre in a good mood this morning.", I said. She smiled and nodded her head.

"We're gonna have so much fun today. I'm excited, I haven't been to the fair in two years. I remember when Dally took me. I was twelve and we rode every ride.", She reminisced.

'"Well, now me, you, Dally, and the rest of the gang are going to ride every ride together.", I said.

"Even the ones that are really high?", she asked, knowing my fear of heights.

"No, ride with Johnnycakes on those.", I answered. She just laughed. Her laugh is so beautiful.

"Get out so I can get ready.", She demanded.

"Nope, you owe me something first.", I bargained. She puckered her lips and I leaned in and kissed her.

"Ok, now will you please go so I can get dressed?", she asked.

"Only because you said please.", I answered leaving the room.

*Kyrie's P.O.V*

I got out of bed and went towards the closet. I grabbed my duffle bag and pulled out some light washed high waisted shorts, a black Elvis Presley T-Shirt, and my black converse. Once I got dressed, I went to do my hair. I took out all of the rollers and pulled my hair up and like always did the poof and bandana.

I went downstairs and made me an egg sandwhich.

"When are leaving!?", asked Steve.

"When I'm done with my sandwhich.", I answered. Finally we all pilled up in Darry's truck. Darry, driving, Pony and I up front. Steve, Soda, and Dally in the back, and in the bed of the truck is Two-Bit and Johnny.

"We're here!", Darry announced. I looked up from playing with Pony's hand and saw a huge ferris wheel, a couple of rides, games, food, etc.

"Let's go!", I yelled jumping out of the truck while Darry was finding somewhere to park.

"Kyrie! Get back in the truck!", Steve screamed. I rolled my eyes and got back in.

Darry parked the truck after five minutes and we walked in.

"So, what are we getting on first?", I asked excitedly.

"Little Miss Winston, let's get on 'the hurricane'.", Soda suggested.

"What's that?", Pony asked grabbing my hand.

"It's a ride that spins you around like a hurricane and it has a little gravity pull.", Dallas explained.

"I'll get on it.", Johnny volunteered. We all got on. I sat with Dally, Johnny and Ponyboy sat together, Soda and Darry, and lastly, Steve and Two-Bit.

Once we got off, Johnny, Darry, Dally, and Two-Bit were dizzy, so the rest of us got on the swings.

Pony and I got two swings beside each other and Soda and Steve got the ones behind us. The whole time Pony managed to keep my hand in his.

We got off of them and decided to get on the ferris wheel. I sat beside Pony, and we turned it into a romantic ride. We were kissing each other. Not like our tongues in each other's throat, but gentle soft kisses. When we made it up to the top, the ride stopped, causing me and Pony to stop.

"What's going on!?", Two-Bit yelled.

"The rides broke.", the guy running it answered. I looked at Pony with fear written all over my face. "Just kidding. I wanted to know how y'all react." The ride went back going and I demanded to get off right when we reached the ground.
