My heart was thumping out of my chest. Randy still had the blade up to my neck and slowly cut a little, just like he did when they jumped Pony.

"Awe, look, now you can match your greasy boyfriend.", Randy said with his evil voice. I started breathing heavily. Then, water works poured.

"What's wrong? Grease get in your eye?", He asked sarcastically. He grabbed my hair and I managed to get my arms out and tried to push him off of me. I got up and ran to the bathroom. Dallas had the door locked, so I banged on the door and almost got it free. The shower wasn't going, so he had to be getting dressed. Randy got up from when I pushed him and threw me back on the ground. He grabbed my hair again and started cutting the braid with the blade.

"Get off of me!", I screamed. He had me pinned down with his knees on my elbows.

"Why? I'm just trying to show you dirty greasers what a hair cut is?", he asked another question sarcastically.

"Dallas! Dallas, please help me!", I screamed. Finally, he came in.

"What is it?", Dallas asked. He didn't put a shirt on yet, because of my screaming. He noticed the Soc on top of me harassing me and I seen a side of Dally that has never been unleashed. He bolted at Randy and pushed him off of me. Dallas swung so many punches, he knocked out Randy's tooth. Both of Randy's eyes were black and his nose was broken. Dallas also gave him a busted lip. He grabbed Randy's blade and cut some of his hair.

"You filthy greaser!", Randy yelled. Dallas also cut his neck like how he had done to me. Then, he dragged Randy out and threw him off the porch.

"Touch her one more time and I'll kill you.", Dallas screamed. He came back and saw me crying on the floor with my back against a wall.

"Hey, it's ok. I stopped him.", Dally said. I looked up at him and began to feel my hair. It was so much shorter. A couple of inches above my shoulders.

"Thank you.", I responded to him.

"No problem, kid. You're hair still looks pretty.", Dally replied. I smiled at him. He helped me up and he went to put a shirt on.

"Wanna go to the barber shop to get it even?", Dallas asked with a cigarette in his hand.

"Maybe later, let's go over and see the gang. Let them know what happened.", I answered. Dally and I took a few minutes getting there and I beat him inside.

"What happened to your hair?", Two-Bit asked.

"That Soc, Randy, is what. He busted in and did this to my hair and cut my neck!", I answered angry.

"You still look beautiful. Man, and I thought that Randy guy changed.", Pony said. I gave him a half grin. Pony has a thing for forgiving people, even after the other night at the unplanned rumble.

"Hey, Pony, didn't one of them Socs do the same to you?", Johnny asked.

"Yeah, they...cut my hair and cut my neck.", Pony answered. Everyone had a confused look on their faces. All except me.

"He said I should match you, Pony. That's when he did it.", I told him. They all nodded their head in amusement.

"Anyway, I'm going to get it fixed, any ride along?", I asked. Pony volunteered and so did Johnny. They were about it. We were walking down the side walk talking in one row. Some how, Dallas and Johnny got ahead of me and Ponyboy, so we just talked.

"There's gonna be another rumble tonight.", Ponyboy said.

"Are we going?", I asked.

"If you want. I don't want you to get hurt though.", Pony answered. I smiled and reassured him I was going to be fine. We entered the shop and I sat down in a chair.

"What do we have here? Someone decide the wanted to cut their own hair?", asked the barber. She was snooty and looked like a slut.

"Just fix it.", I demanded. I noticed Johnny, Dally, and Ponyboy laugh at my sassiness. Ten minutes past and we could finally walk out. I didn't bother to give her any tip.

"It looks good, kid.", Dally said.

I sighed, "Thanks."

"It really does, what do you think Ponyboy?", Johnny asked.

"I think she'll always be beautiful with or without a hair cut.", Pony answered. I turned and smiled at him. I guess shorter hair isn't too bad?
