Not cool

 I open up my notebook full of poems and things i've written in the past. Writing...A thing that was once my passion a form of art I never grew tired of. Jake looks at me "Will you be writing again?" I smile "I don't know should I?" Jake smiles at me " As your bestfriend I think you should because you have a talent for writing stories,but again you're talented at everything." I laugh "Funny how others always tell me how good I am at something,but yet I still belittle myself." Mr.Robinson smiles "Ok we have a returning student please introduce yourself." I look up and see Marisa in a really short skirt and make a disgusted face then quickly make my face calm *she'll get the wrong idea if I make faces...* Marisa smiles "Hi i'm Marissa Bathory most of you know me and i'm glad to see many familiar faces. I also hope to make friends with new people too." Marisa looks at me and I become uneasy *behind that smile hides what exactly?* Jake looks at me then Marisa and in a flirty voice says "I hope to make good friends with you too." and winks the class laughs and Marisa smiles and I look at Jake "Thank you..." Jake smiles "What are you talking about?" I smile *I'm glad his feelings weren't real.* After math and science are over english begins. "Who can tell me what FANBOYS stands for." I raise my hand "Luna." "For,and,nor,but,or,yet,so." The teacher smiles "Yes right as always." Ethan looks at me *She participates more maybe it's because she's sitting next to Jake.* Marisa looks at Ethan and frowns *He's always looking in her direction...* "Ethan what does fanboys stand for?" I smirk and out loud say "For,and,nor,but,or,yet,so." Marisa fakes a smile "Thank you Luna." I smile "You're welcome!" Ethan laughs "That's Luna for you." My face turns red *He doesn't seem upset maybe I can still tell him I don't like Jake.* After notes and lectures it's gym time. Coach Cal blows her whistle "THE GIRLS WILL BE HAVING A VOLLEYBALL MATCH FIRST.THE TEAMS ARE: JASMINE,MICHELLE,JENNY,MACKENZIE,LUNA,and,TRISH! THAT FORMS TEAM A." I look at my friends and smile "We can do this team!" Trish looks at Jenny and Mckenzie "Is she even good at volleyball?" Jenny crosses her arms "Oh trust me Luna is multi talented she can handle volleyball and plus we have the demon michelle and Jasmine the beast two very competitive people on our team." Kaleb looks at us "Team A seems scary." Grayson nods his head "Yeah how is sweet michelle going to last surrounded by beast?" Jake's jaw drops "SWEET?!" Ethan laughs "I look forward to seeing Luna play." The teams take position and I see Marisa on the other side. She smirks "Team B WILL NOT LOSE!" Jasmine looks at me "I think they're trying to intimidate us." Michelle smiles "I think we should go easy on them." I smile evilly "No losing is not an option." The three of us laugh evilly and Trish stares at us "these three are filled with evil..." Jenny and Mackenzie laugh too "Guys why don't we show them how strong we are!" The team cheers and Trish smiles "All of you guys are surprising me today!" The ball is set and Jasmine bumps the ball to Michelle and Michelle spikes it down on the other sides. Everyone is shocked and Grayson smiles "Go Michelle!" Michelle smiles and waves at Grayson. I smile "IS IT OUR SERVE?" Jasmine hands me the ball "Yup." Jake begins to shake nervously "Oh no she shouldn't serve one of those girls will end up in the infirmary." I smile evilly "1 SERVING 0!" I spike the ball and it goes super fast and hits the other court within seconds. Everyone screams "LUNA IS AMAZING!" Ethan smiles "GO LUNA!" I smile *Ethan I can still make you smile?* Marisa frowns and throws the ball over and I spike the ball again. This time the ball is hit over to our side and Jasmine spikes the ball onto the other teams. "LET'S GO!" After an intense match my team won though Marisa did put up a fight. I walk over to the team "Good game." I shake everyone's hand and Ethan runs over to me and hugs me "You were amazing!" My eyes grow big "Thank you.." Marisa frowns and I look at Ethan "I'll be rooting for you!" Ethan leans in close and puts his forehead on mine "Please lend me your skill and power." I laugh "Ok i guess if i have too...Ethan." Marisa stares at me and Ethan and so does Jake. Jake walks over to Marisa "Stare much?" Marisa rolls her eyes "Who are you?" Jake smiles "Oh already forgetting faces seems you don't care about anyone but Ethan. Too bad he only cares for Luna." Marisa smirks "And so it seems you do to but yet here you are letting another guy hug her." Jake makes a disgusted face "If you lay a hand on Luna so help me god i'll hurt you even if you are a girl." I look at Ethan "I need to tell you something quick." Ethan looks at me "Ok." "I don't like Jake and I don't want to date him so you'll be wasting energy rooting on something that won't happen." Ethan looks at me and turns red "Oh *cough* really well that sucks anyway cheer for me!" Ethan turns around and smiles like crazy "YES!" Ethan gets on the court and looks at his friends Kaleb,and Grayson "I'm all fired up! What about you guys?" Grayson laughs "Must be something with Luna." Jake runs over "Now we can't lose in front of those girls or they'll never let us live it down." Ethan nods his head "For once I agree with you." I look at Ethan "YOU GOT THIS!" Jasmine looks at me "Is it me or did the gym become cramped with girls?" I look around "LOOK AT ALL THE HOT GUYS PLAYING VOLLEYBALL!" "GO ETHAN!" "GO GRAYSON!" "GO JAKE!" "GO KALEB!" "GO JOSH!" Michelle frowns "Stay away from gray-." Jasmine grabs Michelle "Buddy calm down." I look at Michelle "Wow..." Mackenzie nods her head "Yeah and away from Jake." Jasmine joins in "AND KALEB!" I look at Jasmine "oooooooooooo." Michelle joins in "ooooooooooooooo." Jasmine stares at us "One word and i'll slit your throats and not bat a single eye." The two of us turn around and at the same time say "She's even scarier than me when i'm mad..." Ethan smiles as the other team serves the ball "0 SERVING 0!" The ball comes over and Jake bumps it to Ethan. Ethan smiles and spikes the ball onto the other side. Coach Cal gives their team the point and the girls scream. "OH MY GOD ETHAN AND JAKE ARE AMAZING!" "THEY MAKE A GREAT TEAM!" Kaleb looks at Grayson "I think we better handle the next serve so Jake serve the ball nicely so they can hit it back." Jake smiles "Alright." Jake hits the ball over and the team spikes it back grayson slides and saves the ball from hitting the ground and Kaleb gets the rebound and spikes it hard onto the other team that his glasses fall off. The gym is in an uproar and Kaleb helps Grayson up "Nice save." The girls go crazy "KALEB IS SO HOT WITHOUT GLASSES!" "DID YOU SEE GRAYSON SAVE THE BALL HE LOOKED SO SEXY!" I smile "NICE ONE GUYS!" The guys smile and wave in our direction and Marisa frowns *what's so good about her?" Jake smiles "Alright guys let's take it up a notch!" The guys continue playing back and forth. I watch in awe. I never knew Ethan could be ruthless and it made me wonder if I really knew anything about him at all. He was annoying and when we were younger he was always watching me and now i'm watching him...Have the roles been reversed? Jasmine flicks me on the head "Stop daydreaming the guys won." I look up to see them surrounded by girls "Maybe I don't deserve him..." Marissa smiles *All these things will make it easy for me. I never thought she was insecure.* Jake walks over and hugs Mackenzie and she tries to push him off "Your sweating gross get off of me!" Jake smiles "You say that but you're clinging to me." Mackenzie's face turns red "you're always getting the best of me gosh." I smile "such a cute couple." I feel someone hug me from behind and put their chin on my head "Who's a cute couple?" *This voice it's* I turn around "Ethan? You scared me!" Ethan looks at me and starts laughing. "What's so funny?" Ethan looks at me "Nothing it's just you always make me laugh I don't know why." I look at Ethan his laugh resonating in my ears and I smile. I ruffle his which is a little wet from sweat "You were amazing out there." Ethan looks at me and is about to say something when a group of people surround him. "Ethan you were amazing!" "Can you teach me those moves?" I smile when we were kids he was shy and emotional. He didn't trust many but me and Jake and now he has so many around him. He's sure grew up and isn't that little boy who was crying at the convenience store. Jasmine and Michelle run over "Luna let's hit the showers we're sweating like crazy!" I nod my head "Yeah!" The three of us run off and Ethan looks at me. Marisa does too "Ethan will be mine." After our showers we head back to the classroom for more classes until study hall. Josh bursts into the classroom "Guys mrs.jefferson is going to be our sub for study hall which means we get to PARTY!" I look at Josh "You mean work together in groups and talk." Josh pouts his lips "Yeah well...Whatever." The class laughs and Mrs.Jefferson walks in the classroom. "Alright guys just talk amongst yourselves and study. Nevermind just do what you want but stay in the classroom...I don't want another lecture from the principle." I turn around in my seat "Can't we just study at my house?" Michelle smiles "Yeah study group at Luna's!" Jasmine pulls her phone out "Alright I texted my mom and I can come." I look at Jake "Can you come over for study group?" Jake looks at me "Can Mackenzie come?" I look at Jake confused "Of course she's a friend of mine and intimate one of yours." Jake smiles and I look at Grayson and Kaleb "Do you guys want to join us in a study group at my house?" Grayson and Kaleb smile "Yeah!" I get up "Good now i'll go tell Jenny and Ethan." I walk over "Jenny Mackenzie want to come over to my place for a study session after school is over?" Jenny smiles "Yeah well if I have to." Mackenzie smiles "Definitely." I walk over to Ethan "Hey Ethan." Ethan looks up "Yeah Luna." I look at his eyes then blink to maintain focus "The rest of us our heading over to my house for a study session would you like to join us?" Ethan smiles "Sure." Marisa looks at me "Can I also join Luna?" I look at Marisa saying no wouldn't be nice... I don't smile but I don't frown either I calmly look at her "Yeah sure." Marisa smiles "Thank you!" Ethan looks at me "Luna is pretty smart." I stare at Ethan and frown "Maybe you shouldn't come." Ethan frowns "What? Why?" I laugh "I'm just joking." I walk to the front of the classroom. "I need to use the bathroom." Mrs.Jefferson looks at me "Go ahead." I walk out of the classroom and pass the boys bathroom and hear screaming. "I'm sorry i'll do better!" I stop and hear about three people laughing and one crying. I frown "Bullies..."

FLASHBACK

I walk outside the school and run into rachel. "Oh here's the snitch the ugly bitch." I stare at her and she frowns "Are you glaring at me bitch?" Rachel smacks me. "Lower your eyes!" I clench my fist then release my grip remembering what Augustus said. "Go ahead and hit me." Rachel stares at me "WHAT?" I look at Rachel "If it makes you feel better go ahead and hit me. But don't bully others anymore! I'm the reason why you're angry so take it out one me not other people!" Rachel pushes me to the ground "You should shut up don't tell me what to do!"

PRESENT

I run into the boys bathroom to see a kid on the floor crying. I look up "What do you think you're doing?" The boys stare at me "What the f*ck are you doing in the boys bathroom?" I grab the boy on the ground "Let's get out of here." One boy spits on the ground "What do you think you're doing he's our slave." I help the boy stand up "What's your name?" The boy looks at me "Joey." I smile "I think it'll be best for you to wait outside." Joey nods his head and runs outside. I turn around to the three boys "Leave Joey alone and no one will get hurt." The boys laugh "WE should be saying that to you." I glare at the boys then smile "You guys are very unlucky to pick a fight with me." A few minutes later I walk out the bathroom "Joey are you ok?" Joey looks at me "What did you do?" I laugh nervously "I taught them a lesson...Anyway tell me if they bother you again." Joey looks at me "You're really nice." I look at Joey "Oh thanks." I look at Joey "You're in class C right?" Joey nods his head and I smile "Don't be afraid to speak your mind." Joey smiles "You remind me of Ethan." I look at Joey confused and he smiles "You both help others no matter what." I smile *Ethan standing up for others...Makes sense he's very sensitive...* "I have to head back to class but thank you." Joey looks at me "Alright thanks." I leave and Joey enters the bathroom to see the three guys on the floor in pain "She didn't go all out on you...She's too nice." The three guys look at Joey "You told us you'd give us a pack of cigarettes if we." Joey smiles "Shhh did you really think I'd give you three losers cigarettes?" Joey lights one and smokes it once then burns it out "Now I don't think you three are strong enough to join Vincent's gang." The three guys panic "No we're strong enough!" Joey smiles "Then prove it." The three guys look at each other "How?" Joey smiles "Bring Vincent Luna."
