Falling Slowly

 I stare at Shawn coldly and remember our times together.

FLASHBACK

I smile "What's this?" Shawn smiles "This is what we call Escargots." I spit it out "Snails?!" Shawn laughs and I punch him in the arm "Not funny." Shawn grabs a napkin and gently wipes my mouth "A lady should spit her food into a napkin." I look at Shawn "Too late." He smiles "You're pretty funny." I smile "Well you're fun to hang out with." Shawn runs with me "In france it's fun to shop at the flea markets!" Shawn holds my hand "Come on." I smile "Ok!" I look at the sky "Wow the eiffel tower is amazing I hear they repaint it every seven years." Shawn eyes widen "Wow you're pretty knowledgeable." Shawn pulls me in "Brains and beauty." My face turns red "Uh the stars look really amazing." Shawn looks into my eyes "The only star that I think is amazing is you." My eyes widen "Wow they weren't kidding when they said French guys really know how to sweet talk people." Shawn smiles "They also know how to kiss." I look at Shawn "What?"

PRESENT

"Just tell me why you're really here." Shawn walks towards me "I already told you Liliana to win you back." I look at him "This isn't France I left and we're done." Shawn puts his hands to his heart and laughs "So cold and playing hard to get. Tell me do you play with every guy's emotions?" I stare at Shawn "I didn't play with your feelings." Shawn frowns "Then tell me why we aren't still together?" I stare at Shawn and he looks at me "Did you even love me? Or where the times we spent together so meaningless that you didn't think twice about leaving?" A tear falls from my eye and Shawn is shocked and I look at him "We were just friends actually we were good friends." Shawn looks at me "Liliana." I look at him "I don't deserve love I'm a horrible person who doesn't care for human life and emotions. I hurt others and I can't love. That is my punishment for being a horrible person. Can you understand that?" Shawn grabs my hand "Then I can teach you how to love!" Marisa smiles "See Ethan.." Ethan runs towards me and Shawn and grabs my hand "I'm sorry but if anyone is going to teach Luna how to love it's me!" I turn around "Ethan?" Shawn looks at me "Is this the boy you always talked about?" Ethan smiles "Oh so i'm even heard of in France?" My face turns red and I let go of both their grasps "I-I-I Have to get to class!" I run off and see Marisa around the corner and stare at her. "Marisa what are you doing here?" Marisa smiles "Come with me." I glare at her back "OK." Marisa leads me to the stairs. Marisa looks at me "I like Ethan and I'll get him back." I smile "So you finally show your true colors took you long enough." Marisa scoffs "Ethan will never love you!" I cross my arms "That may be true but will he love someone who deceive others and lies at least i'm honest." Marisa stares at me and I lean on the railing "So go ahead and confess and tell me how that works out." Marisa scoffs "Why are you so confident?" I look at her "He told me the reason you two broke up is because he's in love with someone else and still is so you can go ahead and confess but the results will be the same." Marisa looks at me "Then maybe you should go meet Augustus." I look at Marisa "What are you talking about?" Marisa looks at me "I mean if you die I'll have Ethan all to myself." Marisa pushes me and instead of dodging it I let her. I feel myself falling backwards. The sensation of falling slowly not knowing when your going to finally hit the floor. I tumble down the stairs and Marisa screams "Someone help Luna fell down the stairs!" I feel something wet on my head "Blood?!" I hear footsteps and teachers approaching "Call an ambulance!" I laugh will I die of blood loss? "LUNA!" Ethan? Is it Ethan is he calling my name? I'm being lifted onto a stretcher. "Luna what happened how did you fall?!" I smile he's so handsome but so annoying and funny and smart...And kind and helpful. He has such a big heart... I hear another person call my name "LUNA!" Oh it must be Jake "Ethan and Jake?" The paramedics lift the stretcher and the rest of my friends are crying. I look at them and lift my upper body up "Don't cry guys...I'm sorry." Jenny and Michelle frown "WHY ARE YOU APOLOGIZING IDIOT." I smile and Ethan looks at me "Liliana..." I smile "I like it when you say that name..." I lose concinus to hear the screams of my friends. "This is Liliana James patient fell from a flight of stairs and lost of blood from the impact. Injuries suggest she was pushed. She is needed for immediate stitching on only her forehead and surgery for internal bleeding. Someone call DR.James in here ASAP!" "We're losing blood!" "DR.James!" "What's the stats on the patient? Liliana?" "Is there a problem DR.James?" "Ah no let's finish the procedure!" "Liliana it's going to be ok." ..."The surgery is over!" "Move the patient to room 122!" Dr.James looks at Liliana "My poor baby..." A nurse runs in "Dr.James is this patient Liliana James?" Dr.James looks up "Yes why?" The nurse smiles "Her family is here." "Javier!" Dr.James hugs Javier "Our baby girl was hurt but the surgery was a success!" Javier strokes Melissa hair "Gracias dios and you Melissa saved our daughter's life." Melissa tears up and they walk over to Liliana. Javier speaks "Liliana hija you scared us...Don't do that we love you too much to lose you too. It's too early to join Augustus stay with us ok." Artemis tears up "Stupid lili why do you always punish yourself?" Apollo holds Liliana's hand "I know we call you Luna but if it's ok I'd like to still call you Liliana..." Ethan looks at the blood in his hands "Liliana..." Jake is embraced by Mackenzie "Jake it'll be ok Luna is strong." Jake has tears in his eyes "I hope you're right because I can't lose Luna she's my best friend." Ethan has a tear fall down his face "Luna would never fall down the stairs she isn't clumsy...Who found her?" Marisa walks towards Ethan "I found her and I called the teachers in the classrooms." Jasmine stares at Marisa "Am I only one who smells a snake?" Michelle frowns "No I smell it too but I also see it." Jasmine walks towards Ethan "You need to wash your hands they're coated in Luna's blood." Ethan washes his hands and Jasmine looks at him "Marisa did it you know." Ethan scoffs "That's absurd Luna and Marisa are friends she wouldn't push her down the stairs." Michelle looks at Ethan "Even if she knew that the boy she loves is in love with Luna?" Ethan looks at them "Marisa isn't like that she likes Luna." Jasmine sighs "Come with us." Kaleb and Grayson stand and wait for Ethan "You need to look at this." Kaleb shows Ethan a video of Luna and Marisa talking and then Marisa becomes hostile and pushes Luna and Luna falls down the flight of stairs. Marisa then smiles and prepares herself to fake cry "Someone help Luna fell down the stairs!" Ethan is frozen "Marisa did this? Why would she?" Jasmine crosses her arms "Because she knows you love Luna and thought if Luna were to die she could comfort you into liking her." Jake frowns "That bitch! I knew she was evil but Luna wanted to believe she had a kind heart..." Marisa walks over "Hey guys what are we talking about?" Michelle crosses her arms "You seem awfully happy considering Luna was taken to the hospital." Marisa smiles "Don't say that I love Luna but I only knew her for like a week..." Jake looks at Marisa "So that gives you the right to push her down a flight of stairs because you didn't know her that much?" Marisa scoffs "That's absurd I would never...Ethan tell them I wouldn't do that you know me!" Ethan stares at Marisa coldly "I thought I did but you're just like the girls that use to bully Luna in primary school. No you're even worse because after what you did you still smile and act as if all is good." Marisa scoffs "No Ethan I." Jasmine grabs Kaleb's phone and shows Marisa her pushing Luna and Marisa frowns "She deserved it." Everyone gasps and Jake steps forward "What'd you say bitch?" Ethan stares at Marissa and Marisa continues talking "She's so good at everything! I know because I had my dad research her! Everything about her was perfect from her grades to health to her heart! I thought she was cold but I saw her always help people she just didn't want to take credit so she did it secretly. It got me so mad when I saw Ethan staring at her with amazement! I have good grades! My breast are bigger than hers I'm prettier then her! SO I WANT TO KNOW WHAT'S SO SPECIAL ABOUT LUNA?!" Ethan looks at Marisa "Luna has a heart. She tries to hide her emotions but she cares too much to do that. Even when someone like Jenny was mean to her she still found it in her heart to forgive her and become her friend! Luna has pride and morals unlike you. I NEVER WANT TO SEE YOUR FACE AGAIN! I'm not so forgiving as nice as I can be. But you hurt Luna with intentions to kill her the love of my life Liliana James and I can't no I won't forgive you no matter what i'll never forgive you." Ethan walks away and Jake looks at Marisa "You had this coming ever since you used Vincent to attack her. Luna was on to you even before that she even knew your dad was searching information up about her but she didn't care. You say you're smart but you're not smarter than Luna and that's a fact." Michelle looks at Marisa "If there weren't cameras I would beat you up right now and give you the same injuries you gave Luna." Jasmine looks at Marisa "Ethan never going to forgive you. You might think he's bluffing but he loves Luna and you hurt her and like he said he won't forgive or want to see you again. Oh and you'll be suspended I suspect and charged with intent to kill." The squad walks away and Marisa stands there in silence "..."
