Saying Goodbye

Ethan and I walk back into the classroom and sit in our seats. I write in my journal and sigh "I've really messed up this time..." Jake looks at me "I need to talk to you after school." I look at him "Ok." After school I see Jake "What is it?" Jake smiles "The two of haven't hung out in awhile." I look at Jake "Yeah ok." Ethan comes running towards us "Liliana wanna hang out after school?" I look at Jake "Can Ethan join us?" Jake looks at Ethan "I was hoping it would be the two of us." I look at Ethan when a group of kids come running towards Ethan "We're going karaokeing wanna join Ethan?" I look at him "I'll be fine go ahead." I walk with Jake "Are they switching you over to the advance class?" I sigh "Yeah..." We enter Mcdonalds and sit down. "Hey Jake let's see who can each other's order perfectly right." Jake smiles "You're on." Jake orders a crispy chicken sandwich with large fries and apple juice. I order the big mac with large fries and coca cola soda mixed with sprite. I look at him and we switch trays "Wow you got my order down to the detail of how many ketchup cups I want." Jake smiles "Well we are best friends." I laugh and we talk while eating our food. "Luna i'm thinking of breaking up with Mackenzie for real now..." I look at him "You guys have been dating for over a year." Jake sighs "I like her but I don't feel a connection...Luna i'm still sleeping with other girls and she knows and still wants to date me." I look at him "Let me ask you this. If she were to do the same thing you're doing to her how would you feel?" Jake looks at me "I wouldn't care because there's someone else I love." I look at him "Love? That's new you use that word all the time but you seem serious this time." Jake smiles and my phone rings "It's Ethan let me go take this call." I get up and Jake looks down *Love but this person i've hurt too much...* I come back and eat the rest of my food. "Ready to go?" Jake looks up "Yeah." I grab a napkin "You have something on your lip." I wipe it off and Jake grabs my wrist and kisses my hand. I look at him "What are you doing?" Jake smiles "Calm down lulu." He puts my hand down "Just a little gift from me to you." I look at him "Weirdo." We walk out and Jake looks at me "What did Ethan say?" I look at him "OH he called me because he said he could hear something disgusting and so needed a distraction and called me." Jake looks at me "You love him a lot huh?"

 My face turns red "What no! Who would love that idiot someone who always says what's he feeling." Jake laughs and I laugh and I hear people talking "Those two are such a cute couple!" "The boy is so hot!" I sigh and Jake looks at me "I don't trust her." I look at Jake "Who?" Jake sighs "Marissa she still likes Ethan. Just wait when you go to the advance classroom she'll try to ruin your relationship." I look at Jake "Well then I guess my older brother will have to keep me updated." Jake looks at me "You can't speak to the dead." I stop walking "No you idiot! You've been like a brother to me since we were kids." Jake shakes his head "I don't deserve that title. I didn't act like a brother to you at all,and you know that." I smile "I forgive you Jake you couldn't do anything it's not your fault." Jake smiles and puts his hand on my head "Jake please think over breaking up with Mackenzie she likes you a lot." Jake looks at me "Ok..." The next day at school I bump into Kaleb. "Hey Kaleb I need to ask you something." Kaleb sits with me on the bench "Is it bad that I feel insecure about my relationship with Ethan?" Kaleb looks at me "What?" I look ahead "He's so popular and just yesterday I was yelled at by three girls who are fans of Ethan the prince of this high school and how he belongs to everyone...I wear pants but people keep saying Ethan likes skirts and it's making me wonder if I should wear the girls uniform." Kaleb laughs and I look at him "Don't laugh at me!" Kaleb smiles "I'm sorry I just never thought you cared what other people thought." I look down "I don't I just care about what Ethan thinks.I mean I don't." Kaleb smiles "Ethan chose you because you are different from any other girl that attempted to date him. You're smart and speak your mind you don't care and do the right thing. You are gifted but you're humble about it. And your heart is amazing and pure. So I don't think you need to change anything about yourself. You're perfect just the way you are." I look at Kaleb "Thanks..." Kaleb smiles "When I was younger I was bullied too,but you don't like getting revenge. Jake told me you hate using violence. I think you are cool." I stand up and so does Kaleb "Thank you. Talking to you makes me feels calm." We walk back to the classroom laughing together. Ethan looks at us "What are you guys talking about?" I look at Kaleb "He was telling me about you in middle school." Mr.Robinson calls Kaleb over "See you later Luna." Ethan grabs my hand and pulls me into a empty hallway. He kisses me and then looks into my eyes "If you want to know about me ask me not Kaleb...I get jealous when another guy like my friends makes you laugh and smile like that."
