Bad Assumptions

I look at Ethan and he looks at me "Do you feel the same way?" Ethan stares into my eyes as always but for some reason I can't meet his gaze "When i'm with you my heart feels heavy as if i'm holding back my feelings for you. And I realized that I was always thinking of you...Even though you were friends with people who ridiculed me you were always holding back your feelings too weren't you." Ethan looks at me and smiles "I want to be the only one at school to call you Liliana don't let anyone else call you that." I look at Ethan "Well I like it when you say that name..." Ethan gets up "Do you need to go back to the hospital?" I nod my head "Yeah I ran out when I found out how you felt about me." Ethan puts his hand to his face "I feel so bad...You're suppose to be in your hospital bed." I look at Ethan and smile "I don't know why but I can't help but smile when i'm with you." Ethan puts his hand to his heart "Don't say things like that or I won't be able to control myself." I laugh "I have to go back to the hospital...It was nice talking to you." Ethan stands up "Reggie can drive you back." I look at him "Ok..." I get into the car and sit next to Ethan we get out of the car at the hospital. "I'll walk you inside." I smile "Thank you-" I throw up blood and fall down. Ethan grabs me "Liliana! Help she needs help!" Nurses run out and pick me up "My stomach..." Ethan runs inside and waits outside my room. Dr.James walks to Ethan and he stands up "Is Liliana ok?" Dr.James smiles "Yes she just should've stayed in bed like I told her and take it easy...Her body wasn't rested enough and so it reacted with throwing up blood. It's not your fault it's her fault she used too much energy." Ethan smiles "That's a relief but it's just like Luna. She puts others before herself and she may act like it but she isn't perfect and is amusing." Dr.James smiles "I'm happy you can be there for my daughter when I can't." Ethan smiles and nods his head "Well it wasn't easy, but I couldn't give up on her because she's so special to me." Dr.James tears up and Ethan looks at her "Oh no did I make you cry?" Dr.James smiles "I'm just so happy that my daughter has found someone like you who loves her. I'm grateful to you." Ethan smiles "I should be the one grateful honestly." Dr.James smiles "Alright don't stay here too late go home and get some rest i'm sure you were worried as much as us." Ethan nods his head and Dr.James leaves. Ethan enters Luna's room and see's a pencil and notepad on the table next to her bed. Ethan writes a note and then looks at Luna. "You look so peaceful when you sleep...You really scared me today, but i'm glad you made it out your way to find me Liliana it made me really happy." Ethan kisses Luna's forehead and gets up and walks out of the hospital. He gets into his car "Reggie could you take me to my house tonight." Reggie the driver is surprised "Are you sure master Ethan?" Ethan nods his head "Yeah I'm sure." ...

After a week in the hospital It felt great to leave. My friends visited everyday to talk and drop off small presents most of them cute plushies and food. Ethan visited every day and stayed longer than the rest to just talk. Even when he was invited to hang out somewhere he would say he's busy. My mom looks at me "Ready to go-" I get up and grab my stuff "Do you even need to ask?" My mom sighs "You know you could become a great doctor if you just overcame the uneasiness you feel when you're in hospitals." I look at my mom "...Yeah let me tell my body and brain that." My mom knocks me on the head "It isn't too late to put you back in the hospital." I smile "Ok ok mama malesh (Sorry)." My mom smiles "Alright your papa is outside waiting for you. If you want you can start school the day after tomorrow." I look at my mom "That sounds good." I walk out of the hospital and my dad smiles at me "Hermosa how does it feel to be let out of the hospital?" I stare at him "I don't know maybe if someone signed a release form so I could get out earlier I would feel better!" My dad laughs "Alright let's get you home oh and I got you jugo de manzana!" I take the apple juice "Todo esta perdonado." My dad ruffles my hair "Bien!" My dad drops me off at home "I'm sorry I can't stay home with you...Will you be fine alone?" I smile "Yeah I will bye Papa." My dad waves goodbye "Bye Liliana." I walk in the house and put my stuff in the room. I set up the plushies on my bed and sigh "It's good to be home away from that...Hospital." I lay down and remember Marisa pushing me down the stairs..."I should beat that bitch up!" I mess up my hair "What has gotten into me? Why am I so soft! I could've stopped myself from falling down those stairs! AAAAAHHHH!" My phone rings and I answer quickly without looking at the caller id "What do you want?" Ethan speaks into the phone "Wow someone is upset." I become embarrassed "Ethan? Oh no I ... Wait a minute I know what's wrong with me you've made me soft!" Ethan laughs "You've always been soft...Kinda." I smile "Ha ok well how are you even calling me it's still school hours." Ethan smiles "I just wanted to hear your voice because I miss you here at school." My face turns red "Please don't tell me you're saying this in the classroom." Ethan smiles "So what if I am?" My face turns bright red "Bold pretty bold there fernandes." Ethan smiles when I hear in the background "Ethan is that a phone out put it away!" I laugh "You got caught!" Ethan frowns "Stop making fun of me I gotta go but i'll stop by your house later." I smile "Alright bye." I get up and start jumping around "Ethan coming over!!!" I stop dancing for a second "Wait a minute why am I so happy...Ethan has come over plenty of times,but is it because we both confessed and now that's all out..." I look at the bear plushie that Ethan gave me "My heart he stole it...Thief and I thought I could withstand his charms." Ethan sits in class with Marisa right next to him "Shouldn't you be not here." Marisa smiles "No one knows what I did and my dad donated to the school." Ethan frowns "Luna will tell the truth." Marisa smiles "No she won't." The door rings and I open it "You must be Liliana James." I look at the three men at my door "So what if I am?" They step forward and I smile "Oh i'm guessing you know Marissa huh." I step outside "You've come here to roughen me up since the high school delinquents didn't do much...Well let's see what you got." I fight the guys and win. I look at the guys "Give marissa a message for me. Tell her that if she wants a fight let's do it by those stairs she pushed me down or in the courtyard whatever suits her as long as she isn't hiding behind weak guards like you." I look at them "Now get out of my sight before I call the cops." Ethan looks at Marisa "You sent bodyguards to her house?" Marisa smiles "Yup she'll be sorry for messing with me." Ethan laughs "I think you'll be the one who'll feel sorry those body guards probably will be in the hospital Luna was at." Marisa laughs when she gets a call "She what? NO how is that possible how'd she beat up all three of you? She wants to fight me? You're all fired!" Ethan looks at Marisa "YOU were saying?"
