No, they are not "just pets" The loss of a pet is just as heart breaking as the loss of a human in my mind. Yes they can be "replaced" But would you try replaceing your child? I raised my cats from birth till death. I've had to bury 4 of them in one week. Don't tell me it doesnt fucking hurt.
