#8- Changing Emotions

"Navya," Nandini said, "Aaj main tumhe apni bestfriend se milwati hu."

Navya raised her brows, "Matlab hum tumhari bestie nahi hai, koi aur hi?" she asked making a bad face.
"Arey, tum dono ho baba. Ek baar usse baat karogi na, I feel tum dono bohot ache friends ban jaoge, she's so much like you." Nandini convinced her.

She opened her laptop and went to Aditi's chat. Aditi's ever-gleaming face popped up and she waived a hand.

"Hi. Aditi meet Navya. Navya, this is Aditi." Nandini introduced them.

As bubbly as she could be, she could still make out the whiff of difference when it comes to Nandini.
"Hi Navya, sorry but Nandini are you fine? Tum theek nahi lag rahi." She said looking at Nandini, then looked at Navya, "Navya even you.. Kuch hua kya, those five...?"

Navya narrated the whole incident once again to Aditi, whose mouth was hanging down.
"Nandini main Mumbai aa rahi hu, I need to teach them a lesson." Enraged was a small word for Aditi's situation right now. Nandini had a tough time calming her down.

"Tum na Nandini ki dost kam maa zyada lagti ho." Navya blurted, then bit her tongue for speaking too much. But instead of getting mad at her, Aditi just laughed it off.

"Tum Nandi ke college se ho na?" Aditi said surprising her.

"Tum jaanti ho humein?" Navya asked.

"Nandi ne hi bataya mujhe. I was surprised she's bad at making friends, usse tumne friend banaya kaise?" Aditi chuckled.

"Arey," Navya's expression changed, "Humare paas music ke alawa aur kayi talents hain. Dheere dheere pata chalega." She said and winked.
Aditi giggled, "Great. Toh tum kaha se ho?"
"Patna. Tum?"
"Main Mangalore mein hu."
It was half an hour since Aditi and Navya were chatting via skype, sharing every detail of their life. And poor Nandu could do nothing but listen to the conversation between these two friends who were talking as if they had been mute for years.

She was finally frustrated and spoke up, "Excuse me, hi I'm Nandini. Would you both like to befriend me?" she asked sarcastically. Navya and Aditi looked at her then to each other and burst out laughing.

"What? Tum dono ko milaya maine, mujhe hi bhul gaye kya?"

"Nandu... oops 'Nandi'," navya teased, "Aapko bura laga?" and Aditi laughed.

"Finally," Aditi said to Nandini, loudly, "I have someone jo tujhe waha bhi pareshan karega, meri tarah. Yo Navya!" Navya returned with the signature sign.

Nandini was about to retaliate when she got a call from Abhimanyu. She gleamingly picked up the call and went to the balcony, while Navya and Aditi chatted.

Aditi noticed Navya's confused face on seeing Nandini rushing excitedly to pick up a call.

"Woh Abhimanyu ka call aaya usse." She cleared her doubt.

"Abhimanyu?"

"Nandini ka, umm... bestfriend." Aditi replied and Navya scrunched her nose.

"Aur kitne bestfriends hai uske?" she said irritatedly, "Humara number konsa hai?"

Aditi giggled, "Don't worry. Nandi ke liye hum sab utne hi important hai. And about number, umm.. Well, Abhi is first, fir hum dono." She said taking her in surprise.
