Kacine's pov

As soon as practice was over, I went straight home. Took a shower and did my homework. Samantha then came over to my house when she was done with her homework. We spent the rest of the whole night in my room talking, laughing, eating, singing and dancing. And lets just say, you'd think Samantha would be a good dancer 'cause she's a cheerleader. But don't let what appears, fool you. You would think she was drunk by the way she dances.

After a while we sat down just talking about everything. Like the majority of stupid jocks. Dumb ass teachers. The cranky old lady in the cafeteria. And finally a topic I was waiting to hit. Taylor.

"Okay, okay. So, tell me how it was talking to your lil cwush." Samantha asked laughing. I hit her playfully on the arm and joined the laughter.

"Oh my Gosh. I never felt so alive. I loved our conversation. Especially how it started. She had me blushing as soon as she started explaining why she wanted to talk to me. She's so sweet, too." I said taking my final breath.

"Hhmm, seems like you enjoyed yourself. I could tell by the way you never stopped having that stupid smile on your face during practice." Samantha pointed to my face, only because I had the same smile on as earlier. I laughed. "So, did you get to know anything about her you didn't know?" She asked amused.

"Yeah, you know the basic stuff of course." I told her.

Samantha rolled her eyes and took a deep breath in and exhaled. "Well, duhhh. I don't expect her to open up to you her darkest secrets and you guys are just now starting to talk more than usual." She said in a duh tone of voice. "Basic stuff like...what?" She asked curiously.

I thought about our conversation from earlier today to try to come up with something basic. "Oh, um her favorite color is sunset orange. She loves strawberry milk. She was born in Barcelona, Spain. She's not that all girly. Obviously, she's like a total hot stud with long dark brown hair and light grey eyes. And last but not least, she loves three main sports, basketball, soccer, and hockey." I said elaborating what Taylor told me.

"Wow, she was born in Barcelona? I went there for my thirteenth birthday. And shall I say the Spanish boys there are caliente, hott. With two Ts at the end." I ended up laughing my ass off at her gagging at Spanish boys.

"Whoa, now. Slow down there. Don't forget about Eddy now." I laughed. All of sudden, she stopped laughing instantly when I said Eddy's name. She then frowned. "Hey, you alright? Why do you look so down all of a sudden? Wait, did Eddy do something to you? I swear to God I'll beat his ass." Samantha let out a small laugh. "What? I will." I said determined.

"I know you would. And since when does Kacine Leonardo curse?" She aksed, curious. I guess I really never cursed out loud, just internally. "Anyways. Did anything else happen?" She asked.

I thought about it for a moment. Then I remembered something. "Well, after talking to her, I sort of had the confidence in asking her for her phone number." I said nervously.

As soon as I said that, Samantha's eyes brighten. "No way? You asked her for her phone number?! I can't believe it. Kacine actually made the first move towards getting a relationship started?" She asked surprised. I laughed at her face expressions.

"Haha. Yeah, I know right. I was kind of scared at first, but was then excited." I said truthfully.

"Wait, so have you called her yet?" She asked.

"Well see, that's the thing. I knew if I had put her number in my phone, I knew I would've been eager to call her. And if I did call her the second I got home, I would've came off as desperate to talk to her." I concluded.

Samantha raised and an eyebrow. "But you are desperate." She laughed and I hit her playfully. "Haha. You're a smart girl, though." She said complimenting me. "I would've never thought of it that way. Good realization." She said, while she re-did her ponytail.

"Thanks." I said a little bit cocky.

"So has Taylor called you yet?" She asked.

"No. Not yet. And it's just killing me to know I can't really talk to her, yet." I explained.

"Well, maybe she's just-" Samantha was immediately cut off to the vibration of her phone in her pocket. She took her phone out and read the text that was sent to her. She soon then started to have this stupid smile on her face, like the one I had moments ago. Whoa, when was the last time I actually seen her smile that huge? I thought.

"Who is it? Is it Eddy?" I asked her out of curiosity.

Without answering she got up from my bed and ran to my door to grab her shoes. "Yeah, I guess you could say that." She replied. What was that supposed to mean? "Anyways. I've got to go meet a certain someone."

I sighed. "Oh, okay. Well, I guess we'll finsh where we left off some other time?" I asked, a little unsure.

"I'm sorry, Kacine. I promise I'll make it up to tomorrow." She said with an apologetic smile.

"It's okay, Sammy. And I really mean that." I said reassuring her. With that said, she took off out of my room.

Taylor's pov

Okay, Taylor you can do this. You can do this. It's just an easy and simple text. Right? Ugh, I really need to stop over thinking things. Come on, Taylor. Get it together. I mentally argued with myself. I take a deep breath and try sending Kacine a text message.

Me: "Hey, Kacine. It's me...um Taylor. :-D"

I press send and wait for a response. I look over at the time and see that it's 9:52pm. I'm pretty sure Kacine would be up. Right? Yeah, of course she is. She's not a little kid anymore with a bed time. I look over at the clock again, 9:54pm. Okay, two minutes have past, no big deal.

As I wait for Kacine to respond, I get up and go downstairs. I enter the kitchen and head straight for the fridge. I was kind of nervous if she was going to text me back or not, which made me a little sweaty. So, I thought a nice cool beverage could cool me down. I took out the carton of strawberry milk and poured me a little bit into a glass cup. Once I chugged it down, I head back up stairs to my room.

I close the door behind me and jump onto my bed. I look at my phone. No text. I take another look at the time and see it's 10:03pm. I sighed heavily. She's probably with Samantha. Yeah, that's what it is. Or maybe she's asleep. Or she's having dinner. I'm such an idiot. No one has dinner at ten o'clock at night, I thought.

Just when I was about to give up, my phone vibrated. I quickly snapped my attention to my phone. Oh my God, she texted me back!!

Kacine: "Oh, hey sorry for not texting back right away...I was in the shower."

*Of course, the shower. Why didn't I think of that?* Me: "It's alright. As long as I got a text from you, I'm good. :-D"

Kacine: "Awwweee, how sweet!!♡♥♡♥"

I think I'm gonna need heart surgery after my heart explodes with happiness. Jesus, help me now. We spent the rest of the night texting back and forth. We mostly talked about pointless subjects, but I didn't care. As long as she was texting me back I was just alright.

Kacine: "Whoa, look at the time. It's kind of late. Know wonder I'm so tired. Well um...I guess I'll see you tomorrow at school right?"

*I turn my head to look at the time on my nightstand. Whoa, she was right. It was 2am.* Me: "Yeah, of course. Definitely. See you tomorrow. Or today? Lol"

Kacine: "Lol. Yeah, today. Good night/Goodmorning? Lol"

Me: "Haha. Good night /Good morning."

With that said, I put my phone on the charger. Switched into a plain white shirt and took off my basketball pants, leaving me in my black American Eagle boxer shorts. Turned off the lights and got under the covers. Tonight was the night I fell asleep with a huge smile on my face.
