Taylor's pov
I looked at the time, 5:56. Shit, I have three more minutes, I thought. I quickly grabbed my pink silk tie, keys and cell phone and ran outside of my house. I got into my car and drove off as fast as I could to get to Kacine's house. Her parents really don't know me, so I can't already make a bad impression by being late.
I finally got there, but I had to go over the speed limit to getting here. Luckily I didn't get caught. I looked at the time on my phone, 6:00. Yes, right on time, I thought. I quickly put on my snap on tie. I got out of my car and walked up to their doorstep, pressing the doorbell. The door then swung open, to her mother opening it. "Hey, Taylor. You're just in time. We were just now leaving. Kacine!" She yelled upstairs. "Taylor's here!" She added.
Kacine's father then came to the door. "Hello, there Taylor. How are you?" He asked.
"I'm doing fine, sir. And you?" I responded.
"I'm great." He said. "Excuse us please." He said, as he and his wife passed by me. I stepped out of the way and entered the house.
I suddenly saw the most beautiful girl in the world coming downstairs. I smiled at her. She wore a pink dress that was a little bit above her knees. She had on a dark jean jacket over it, with black heels. "Hey, sweetheart." I said to her.
"Hey, hun." She said, as she made her way towards me and kissed me on my cheek.
I raised an eyebrow. "Whoa, what was that?" I asked, playfully.
"What was what?" She asked, confused.
"That kiss. I prefer the lips." I said, making kissing noises. She chuckled lightly and grabbed my tie, kissing me on the lips.
She then pulled away. "There, is that better?" She asked.
"Eh, I guess so. But you could do better." I said, as I wiggled my eyebrows.
She grabbed onto my tie, once more pulling me close to her. She kissed my hard, but yet sweetly. I cupped her face as are tongues began to dance with each other. I then heard a manly voice, clear his throat. Kacine and I pulled away. I was now having a stare off with her father. "Well, Taylor before you swallow my daughter. Can you and her please make your way to the car. I have reservations." He announced, with a stern voice.
I gulped. "Yes, sir." I said, as Kacine and I made our way quickly outside.
We made my way towards the backseat of their black Escalade. "Oh, Taylor. Please take a seat up front." He insisted.
"Oh, um...I'm good. Mrs. Leonardo is probably already there." I said, as I watch Kacine get into the car.
We both then notice her mom in the backseat. "No, Taylor. We insisted. You're our guess. Sit up up front, hun." She said, politely.
I looked at Kacine, then to her father. "Um...okay." I said, closing the door and making my way to the passenger side.
We drove off of their driveway. I took a deep breath. I was actually pretty nervous. I never knew how straight stern Kacine's parents were. "So, Taylor." He began. I turn to look at him. "I hope you like sea food. 'Cause we're going down to the Coral Reef." He said, naming the restaurant.
My eyes suddenly widened. "Isn't that place expensive?" I asked.
"Indeed it is. Don't worry about it, though. It's our treat." He said, simply. I turn my head to look at Kacine. She gave me a fainted smile. I returned the same smile. I then turned back around. I laid my head back on the head rest of the seat. I watched the road a head of me as we made our way to the restaurant.
