Chapter Twenty

Taylor's pov

"That bitch!" I yelled. I can't believe what I'm hearing. Kacine just told me why she was ignoring me today. She had been threatened. Who does Caleb think he is? Gosh, I'm gonna kill him. How could he force Kacine through hell today, knowing that she's not interested in him? And how could I had ever thought she lost interest in me? I'm so stupid.

"Yeah, and that's not all." Kacine said, breaking me away from my angry thoughts.

"There's more?" I asked, surprised.

"Caleb and Eddy are dating. Which means Eddy is gay and Caleb is, too." She added.

My eyes widen. "Are you fuckin' serious?!" I screamed, in disbelief.

Kacine nodded her head 'yes'. "Yeah, and Samantha knows that Eddy's gay. She was just a cover up for him. Just don't say anything to Eddy, 'cause Samantha doesn't want to lose Eddy's trust, because of the secret." She elaborated more.

I raised an eyebrow. "So, if Samantha didn't want to lose Eddy's trust, then why did she tell you?" I asked, curiously.

"Oh, that reminds me. Did you know Elya has a girlfriend? Her name's Dylan and she is also Caleb's step-sister, by the way. That's the reason she came to our school." She informed.

I gave her a confused expression. "Wait a minute. Elya told me she had a girlfriend at lunch today. She also told me not to tell anyone because she's really in love with her and that she wasn't ready to come out, yet. She didn't want to lose her if anyone accused her of being gay, though. So, why did Elya tell you then?" I asked completely confused.

Now Kacine was the one who looked confused. "That's not what I heard, but in a way I guess it's similar?" She asked more to herself, then to me.

"What do you mean?" I asked, interested in what she was about to tell me.

"Well, I have Dylan for eighth period history. She told me she was bisexual, but at the same time doesn't do committed relationships. But when we were outside behind the school, Elya came to get her so she could take her home and Dylan called Elya, her girlfriend." She explained.

I tried putting everything together in my head. Lets see, I assume Elya is now a former player because she's with someone. Hhmm, but what about Dylan? I really didn't know anything about her. Then again, Kacine just gave me some good information. "Wait, you don't think Dylan's going to play Elya and just break her heart, do you?" I asked, suddenly concerned of Elya's feelings.

"That's exactly what I thought. And I would definitely hate seeing Elya get hurt in her first actual relationship." She said.

"Well, I guess there's only two possible things we can do." I said, thinking.

"And they are?" She asked.

"Well, one. We can either sit back and watch her get hurt. Or we can protect her and save her from heartbreak. Without actually telling her to her face. I mean, she did tell me she was in love with her. Which is why she talked her into coming to our school." I concluded.

Kacine raised an eyebrow. "Did you not hear me when I said the reason why she came to our school? It's because she's Caleb's step-sister." She told me.

My eyebrows connected in confusion. "When did you say that?" I asked her.

"Before I explained my part on how I knew about Elya and Dylan's relationship." She informed.

My eyes widen. "Oh yeah. I do remember you saying that. Shit, maybe that's why it was easy for her to come to our school." I said, realizing everything.

"But there's something I don't understand." Kacine whispered to herself, which I heard.

"What?" I asked.

"If Dylan's not the type of person to be in a committed relationship," she stated. "Why is she in a relationship with Elya in the first place?" Kacine asked.

I stood there thinking. I had know idea why. All I knew, is that I wasn't going to let Dylan play Elya. "Good question." I finally said.
