Chapter Nineteen

Kacine's pov

I followed behind Dylan, as she led the way to our destination. We soon stopped at the back of the school. "You see this area." She said waving her hand around, motioning that we're in the back of the school.

I gave her a confused expression. "Yeah?" I answered.

She chuckled. "I was walking to my car last Friday and saw Caleb and Eddy having a hot make out session." She said, smirking.

My eyes widen in disbelief. "Y-y-you're kidding right?" I asked just to make sure.

She raised an eyebrow. "No, hun. I'm not. Which is kind of why I was confused at lunch today. But then I met you and you explained to me why you were with him. So, everything makes since now." She concluded.

Oh, now I'm pissed. "I'm gonna kill him." I stated. "Now I see why he wants to date me during school hours." I said, putting everything together.

"Yeah, I never knew he was like that." She said.

"What do mean?" I asked, confused.

"Oh, Caleb's my step-brother." She said flatly.

My eyes widen. "Caleb Winston's your step-brother?!" I asked in disbelief.

She laughed. "Yeah, that's the only reason why I came here to this school. His mother is engaged to my father." She said amused.

"Oh, okay." I said unsure of what to say next.

"Yeah, it's okay. I don't really talk to him much, but when I do, it just turns into fighting. Plus it was pretty interesting seeing him kiss his way up and down-"

"Okay! I don't need to know that." I said, interrupting her.

She chuckled. "Oy, Dylan!" Dylan and I turned our heads to see Elya jogging towards us.

Dylan raised an eyebrow. "Hey, there cutey." she said.

Now it was my turn to raise an eyebrow. "Cutey?" I asked.

"What? She is." Dylan said in defense.

I chuckled. "So, you want a ride home or what?" Elya asked.

"Yeah, yeah. I'll be there in second." She told her.

"Alright, I'll be waiting." She said, giving Dylan a kiss on the cheek. With that, she left.

My eyes flickered open and closed, trying to figure out what just happened. "Did Elya just kiss you?" I asked.

She laughed lightly. "Yeah, she did. She's my girlfriend." She said, with a huge smile.

Okay, now I'm completely confused. "But I thought-"

"See ya later. Bye!" She said, running towards Elya's car.

Hhmm, something doesn't seem right. She told me in class that she doesn't do committed relationships. But now she's saying Elya's her girlfriend? Exactly when does Elya have a girlfriend? I thought she was player, which is practically what Dylan is. Wait a minute, I hope Dylan doesn't plan on breaking Elya's heart. Especially if Elya is actually trying to be in a real relationship.

"There you are!" Suddenly I heard a voice snapping me out of my thoughts. I turned around to see Samantha standing there. "I've been looking for you all over the school. What are you doing behind it?" She asked, noticing her surroundings.

"Oh, Dylan and I were just talking to each other a couple of seconds ago." I told her.

"Who the hell is he?" She asked.

I snickered. "Well, she is a new student I just met." I said, emphasizing the word 'she'.

Samantha rolled her eyes. "Well, why were you two back here?" She asked.

"Oh, she just told me the biggest news ever. But I don't think you're going to like it." I said, truthfully. Only because it involved Eddy cheating on her.

"Okay...I'm listening." She said cautiously.

"Well, I found out Caleb is only making me date him because he's currently dating Eddy." I said. She stood there standing with a blank stare. I couldn't tell what she was feeling because she wasn't showing any expression of it. "Hello? Samantha? Are you okay?" I asked, concerned.

"Yeah, I'm fine." She said flaty.

I gave her a confused look. "So, you're not mad about him cheating on you? With another male?" She shook her head 'no'. I raised an eyebrow. "You do know what a male is right? Its that thing with a penis." I said in disbelief, of her reaction.

Samantha let out a small chuckle. "I already knew Eddy was gay, weeks ago. And I actually just found out Caleb was his boyfriend, on Saturday. I was just covering up for Eddy during school." She explained.

Whoa, hold the fuck up. "So you mean to tell me, you knew Caleb was gay and didn't tell me?! And I had to go through the whole damn day faking to be his girlfriend?!" I yealled in anger.

"I'm sorry, Kacine. I promised Eddy I wouldn't say anything. Even to you. Plus if I told you and you told Caleb, then Caleb would've confronted Eddy. Then Eddy would've found out. And if Eddy found out, then I let him down. And he probably wouldn't trust me again with any secret." She explained.

I sighed. I guess I could see where she was coming from. I wouldn't want to lose anyone's trust either. "Okay, I'll take that excuse." I told her. "But you know? You didn't tell me. I found out from his step-sister, but I'd never tell him that you, Eddy, or Dylan told me." I reassured her.

She gave me a confused look. "Eddy has a step-sister?" She asked.

"Oh, no. Dylan's Caleb's step-sister." I corrected her.

"Oh, okay. I can see how she knew about Caleb." She told me. "So, you want a ride home?" She asked.

I stopped for a second and thought about the question. "Actually, no. I want a ride to Taylor's house." With that said, we took off towards her car. I knew I had to still explain to Taylor my situation. I also wanted her to know the new information I found out about Caleb. And hopefully she'll understand my actions today.
