| chapter five - healing |

I woke up and found a pair of strong arms around my waist and warm breath blowing on my head.

I smiled and slowly wiggled out of Severus's hold so I didn't wake him, I then moved to the bathroom to take a shower.

I sighed as the warm water hit my shoulder blades and ran down my back.

A knock sounded at the door just as I was turning the taps off, "Just a moment!" I called.

I stepped out of the shower and wrapped a towel around myself and then opened the door.

Severus stood there smiling at me, "I need to use the shower now if I'm going to make it to class on time."

My heart dropped, "I don't think I can face everyone today, I don't want to leave these chambers."

Severus pulled me against him and rubbed my back, "That's okay sweetheart, you don't have to do anything you don't want to. But, you will need to face it eventually."

I nodded, "Can you come and get me at lunch? I'll come to Potions, I can face it if I have you."

Severus planted a kiss into my hair, "I'll bring your school stuff to you at lunch and I'll inform your professors of your absence."

I kissed him and nodded, "Thank you."

Severus nodded and let go of me, "Anytime. Now, I really have to shower otherwise I am going to be late."

I nodded and went back to the bedroom and grabbed a pair of Severus' boxers and one of his t-shirts.

I then went out to the living room and summoned a house elf to bring me toast.

When Severus walked out he was all clad in black but was lacking his cloak, "Where's your cloak?" I asked him with a raised eyebrow.

He laughed and walked back into his room and returned with his cloak, "I was just testing your attention to detail."

I laughed, "God I love you."

Within seconds Severus was pressing his lips against mine and kissing me quite passionately, "I love you more," he said in between kisses.

When I finally pulled away I frowned and said, "You really should be going now."

Severus groaned, "Yay now I get to deal with dunderheads."

I punched him gently in the shoulder, "Professor Snape that is no way to talk about your students."

Severus pretended to glare at me, "I'd be careful if I were you Miss Winters, you wouldn't want to land a detention with me. Rumours say I can be absolutely unbearable."

I stepped forward and puffed my chest out, "I'll do my best, Professor."

Severus laughed and kissed me, "I'll see you at lunch."

I sighed and watched as he walked out the door.

I went back to Severus' bedroom and plucked the book he was off his bedside table, it was The Hunger Games, I smiled as it was one of my favourites.

I opened to the first page and read until Severus returned at lunch with my school stuff.

I smiled as he leant down and kissed me, "Is my reading material to your liking?" He asked with a smirk.
