***FINN'S P.O.V***

"I swear to God, Pete, if you slap my butt one more time..." Is the first sentence Finn hears when he breaks the surface of the water. The voice is familiar, and rings in his ears, bouncing off the walls of his head.

He wipes the water from his eyes and glares at Willow, who stands by the side of the pool, crossing her arms over her chest while talking to a boy Finn doesn't quite recognize. The boy has white/blonde hair, brown eyes, and a tiny nose. His eyes are intelligent, but right now he is being the opposite.

Finn pushes up on the side of the pool, raising himself out of the warm water. When he climbs to his height, he walks toward Willow, listening in disgust as the boy says to her, "What are you gonna do about it? Huh? Plus... We should hook up."

"You could use a little makeup..." The boy remarks, obviously raising himself to a higher standard than everyone else. "But, we could work."

Willow looks as if she is about to explode, but Finn steps beside her and inserts himself in their conversation, turning a few people's heads. "Hey, stop talking to her like that."

The boy's brown eyes sear through Finn's when they meet his gaze. "What did you just tell me to do?"

Although the guy in front of Finn isn't very buff, he is still three times larger and buffer than Finn, and right now, he is balling his fists like he is ready to beat the crap out of him.

Swallowing, and somehow standing his ground, Finn repeats, "I told you to stop talking to her like that, you jerk."

That did it for the boy. He rears back his hand, bringing it forward only to make it collide with Finn's dark skin in a hard punch to the face. The boy doesn't have much muscle, but the blow really shakes Finn, spinning his world and blurring his vision. "Oh..."

Willow yelps, "Finn!" Snatching up the attention of everyone in the pool room.

Finn can barely see through the black dots scattering in his twirling vision, but he sees a figure approaching from his left. Swaying from side to side and attempting to spot the floor beneath his feet, Finn topples over, landing right in the harsh pool water. Because he is so dizzy and unable to collect his thoughts, his body breathes in the warm water, drowning his consciousness and pulling the plug on his brain.

***ASHER'S P.O.V***

Asher only catches a glimpse of what has just happened, but only a little glance brings fury to his body. What he sees is two people. Two strangers, in fact. One is a girl. One is a boy. For some reason they got in a fight. And oddly, Finn entered the conversation and got punched in the face. Now, he floats in the pool while five people swarm him.

Elizabeth and Ruth are pulling him out of the pool, and he's unconscious, which means he could die. He could die. He could die without Asher being able to tell him he cares about him and wants to be his friend...

Asher charges up to the boy who punched Finn, yelling, "Why the hell did you do that?"

   "He was-"

Asher doesn't want to hear the end of his sentence. Hell, his vision is red and there's a ringing in his ears he can't stand. Thinking it's the best thing to do, he swings his arm and punches the boy, the hit knocking him right off his feet.

He slams onto the floor, and he doesn't get up, which was what Asher was hoping for. He wouldn't want to have to injure his fist more.

The boy's nose begins bleeding, but Asher turns away and glues his eyes to the scene at the pool. Elizabeth and Ruth are holding Finn up, Elizabeth talking frantically in his ear, but getting no response.
