RECAP: Jay thinks he has lost in his fight to get Elizabeth and takes a walk to clear his mind. He gets into deep unimaginable trouble and isn't sure if he'll make it through the night. Elizabeth finds him and tries her best to save him.

***ELIZABETH'S P.O.V***

Jay's darkening eyes lift and meet her gaze for just long enough to spurt an ounce of hope in Elizabeth. At that moment, she uses all of her strength—mentally and physically—to lift Jay off of the dirty ground and to his stumbling feet.

"Thank you." She whimpers under her shaky breath, just before she begins making her way out of the alleyway. Jay's legs move... at a slow pace... but at least they move.

Elizabeth doesn't spot her phone on the way out, but she figures she won't need it. She is not letting go of Jay.

Blood is smeared across her abdomen from Jay's bloody body but Elizabeth doesn't care in the slightest. She needs to find him someone to call for help.

She turns left once they are out of the alleyway and spies the first passerby. "Excuse me, will you call-" Elizabeth is ignored by the woman who was staring at her phone while walking and obviously didn't notice the severity of the situation Jay and she are in.

Elizabeth clears her throat and continues trudging onward but she figures she'll have a better chance of catching someone's attention from inside a building instead of on the crowded streets. Stepping inside the nearest facility, she makes the craziest entrance by yelling, "Will someone please call 911! This boy has been stabbed!"

She has entered a fancy business building where there is an extravagant lobby and many suited people behind tall, marble-top desks. She steps to the center of the room, bystanders dropping their jaws and the clerks jumping to action. A security guard that has been standing somewhere off to the side of the front doors moves in toward them, his serous gaze locked on Elizabeth's.

"Ma'am, what happened?" The man asks, glancing down at Jay's bleeding torso.

"He was stabbed... I..." Elizabeth recounts the last few minutes and can't stop the tears from streaming down her cheeks. "I found him. He needs help. Medical help. Now."

"Where was he stabbed? Is the perpetrator here?" The man questions, raising a thick eyebrow.

"No." Elizabeth shakes her head violently. "They got away."

"Okay." The man nods, his bald head shining in the bright lights of the fancy lobby. "I'm going to-"

Jay suddenly goes weak in Elizabeth's arms and they both topple onto the shiny floor. Ramming against it hard, Elizabeth throws her hand out so Jay doesn't hit his head, and fortunately he doesn't. His eyes are closed though, and his body is as limp as a sack of potatoes. His lips are shaking, which is a sign he is still alive, but they are turning white and quickly.

"Oh my God... He's dying." Elizabeth chokes on her words, unable to contain the pain filtering through them. She sits up and holds his head in her lap as the security guard checks his pulse and tightens the clothing that is halting the blood flow for now.

Elizabeth glances around with her blue eyes wide and frantic. "Has someone called an ambulance?! Are people coming to help?!" Her voice is loudly hysterical and she can't stand hearing it this way. "Please! Someone answer me!"
