~Chapter 8~

Third person's point of view.

The next morning Kakashi gives Team 7 the application forms for the Chūnin Exams. Not without being late and making all four of the Genins wait for him, and when he arrived he used his usual excuses. Mito, Sasuke, and Naruto accept, but Sakura is uncertain.

Later, that day Mito was heading out to shop for her and Naruto when she sensed she was bing followed by Iruka-sensei in disguise she could tell by his hesitance. Using her marked Kunais she teleported behind him and knocked him out before leaving and continuing what she needed to do.

The rest of Team 7 at a later time were also attacked by a mysterious ninja from a different village. Moegi is captured by a mysterious ninja, and is seen tied up and gagged with a cloth. Naruto eventually saves her, but the mysterious ninja escapes. Sakura is taken in by his genjutsu but quickly figures it out.

Despite this she is still uncertain about the exam. When Sasuke's turn came around Iruka-sensei tried to use a clone disguised as Mito to trick him but Sasuke easily figured it out and defeated the ninja, telling him to stay out of Konohagakure.

The ninja is revealed to be Iruka in disguise not that Mito didn't already know. He reported back to Kakashi, confirming they all passed his test.

Mito, as told by Kakashi-sensei, would be the Team Captain. Her skills put her above the others and none of them argued as they all agreed she was best suited for the role. Getting to the school for their pre-assigned time they were on their way to the classroom when two shinobi bar the way warning all the genin about the exam.

An altercation nearly took place but Rock Lee stepped in and diffused the situation, which surprised Sasuke and because of it, Mito stepped in and stopped all the fighting not wanting to see ninjas of the leaf village fighting each other.

When she dispersed everything her team and her were approached by Rock Lee, "Your Mito, right?" he asked she only continued to observe him looking for weaknesses, but her train of thought was thrown off by his question. "Please be my girlfriend. I vow to protect you with my life." eyes wide Mito didn't know what to say, and she didn't have to because Sasuke stepped up. "Yeah, definitely not." Lee looked at Sasuke and frowned. "Why?"

Snorting in laughter Naruto answered, "She's already with Sasuke." Lee's head fell, as a cloud of depression washed over him. Suddenly a pale-eyed dark haired Genin stepped up behind Mito and Sasuke, "hey, you two identify yourselves." Sasuke and Mito turned to the guy and saw he wasn't alone with him was a girl.

She wore a pink Quipao shirt with gold and red trimming her hair was up in twin buns and her pants were a darker green than Sakura's. she blushed and giggled at Sasuke as it seemed every time he meets a new girl or is seen by any female they all like him. Which was really starting to annoy Mito. "We're not obliged to answer." Sasuke said and the guy glared. Hissing out an insulted "what..?!".

Mito, not wanting them to be late grabbed her brother's and Sasuke's hands and pulled them after her, Sakura right behind them. After handing in the forms they were on their way out, Sasuke and Mito were gonna catch a movie before heading home, both of them not knowing when they'd get the chance to do this again.

Almost out the door they were called on again, growling in anger Mito stopped and the others did too, "You two, with the unpleasant look. Wait a minute!" Looking up at the balcony, there in a green jumpsuit stood Rock Lee. "Huh?" Naruto and Sakura gasped out unsure of what was going on. "Oh?" Naruto mumbled when he recognized the guy from earlier, he wasn't exactly impressed but because Naruto didn't fully understand the guy's skill he wouldn't be.

"Yikes!" Sakura groaned in fear and disgust at the guy's sense of style and haircut, his brows along gave her the creeps, but she tried to refrain from being too rude. "What do you want?" Sasuke said getting annoyed with the interruptions and people who kept calling him and his team to stop, out the corner of his eye Mito didn't even look impressed by the guy overhead of them.

"I want to fight right here, right now." Mito rolled her eyes and held her head as she shook it in disdain. Frowning Sasuke glared up at Rock Lee. "You want to fight me right here, and now, huh?" Sasuke said mockingly. "Yes." Lee said jumping over the balcony to stand across from Sasuke and his team. "My Name is Rock Lee, you said it was common courtesy for a challenger to give his own name first, Sasuke Uchiha."

Mito rolled her eyes again as a migraine started to pound its way around in her skull. "So you know me." Sasuke said as Lee bent into a stance.  "I challenge you, everyone's always talking about you two, and the Uchiha clan and how great they are, I want to see if it is true, I figured you'd be a good challenge for me and also..." Lee looked at Mito and blushed with a straight face, "Oh Mito, I love you!"

Mito shuddered at the idea of any kind of romantic relationship with him, she was glad she had Sasuke, overjoyed actually and she wouldn't change him for anyone, EVER. "You are an angel sent from heaven." he said and blew her a kiss to which she dodged, "That was a good move, but let's see how you do with this." sending many of them at her, she panicked and was going to move when Sasuke saved her.

He hid her behind him as he popped all the hearts Lee had sent towards her. "You've heard of the Uchiha clan but you're still challenging me? You must be even more psycho than you look. If that's possible, you want to know more about my clan? Then I'll teach you the hard way." Lee entering his stance again smiled, "Bring it on." Sasuke activating his Sharingan was about to attack when Mito stopped him.

"What is it, babe?" leaning into him she held his cheeks using his hair to hide their mouths as she spoke to him, telling him what Lee was exceptionally good at and that his Sharingan would only work on Gen and Ninjutus, so he had to think before acting. Pulling away he smiled and gave her an actual kiss before facing off with Lee.

Tieing in their battle, a fan stopped them from going further. Bandage trapped against the wall the two boys pulled away from each other and Lee knelt in front of the Turtle that had stopped him, Sasuke with several forming bruises was fussed over by Mito, as she saw the hits looked like they actually hurt. "You okay, love?" he looked at Mito and nodded slightly but she could see he was shaken up.

The four of them realizing that Lee was talking to a turtle, Mito threw her hands up and said, "Okay, I give up. I'll see you guys later, Sasuke I'll meet you at your place, okay." Sasuke still surprised by the whole talking to a turtle thing nodded and she kissed his cheek as she left.

After Gai-sensei punished Lee, he looked over at Kakashi-sensei's team, 'This must be Kakashi's team.' Sakura being an idiot shouted "Ah! he's looking at us!" ignoring her Gai asked, "Tell me how is Kakashi-sensei?" Sasuke frowning asked, "Do you know him?" he was also glad that Mito had left and wouldn't be looked at by those two losers. "Do I know Kakashi?" repeated chuckling, "Well some people say he and I are natural rivals for all eternity."

The three genins choked on shouts of shock and disgust. Sasuke was reaching his 'I give up' moment when everything calmed down and they left for the rest of the day, the lot of them need to get up early for the exams the next morning. Gai noticed as Team 7 left that one of their members was missing, "Lee, is the fourth member of Squad Kakashi the girl you've been youthfully in love with?" grinning and nodding Lee chuckled.

"She is as beautiful as always, Gai-sensei. Golden blond hair and sapphire blue eyes and..." he trailed off shuddering at the thought of her physique. Mito at Sasuke's sneezed as she felt someone talking about her. Sometime later Sasuke got home and was greeted with a wrapped meal and Mito sleeping on the couch, her hair undone and her own clothing folded on a chair as she wore one of Sasuke's shirts.

Blushing he removed his headband and shoes and picked her up to put to bed instead of waking up sore from sleeping on the couch. When she was in bed, he went to warm up his food and ate, finished he took a quick shower and changed into sleeping shorts and a shirt, climbing into bed with Mito she curled into him and he let her warmth lull him to sleep. All his rage at Lee soothing out as her warm breath on his face calmed him and made him relax.

"Welcome home." Mito mumbled slightly half-wake before falling back to sleep. Sasuke smirked happily in his sleep before snuggling even closer.
