Third person's point of view.

Mito was accepted into the Akatsuki fairly quickly. Her abilities and skills were welcomed and highly wanted by the Leader but because of her constant chasing of the members they were never able to try and recruit her, but now that she willingly joined she was going to be sent on a sort of initiation mission.

Pein wanted her to go to Otogakure and get back one of the rings that wasn't returned to him when Orochimaru left many years prior, it was going to be her ring anyway when and if she succeeded. She saw no problem in that and accepted. Usually, Pein would have sent one of the others with her to make sure she would be fine,

But they had to do their own missions. So they all left at the same time all going different ways, some going together to split off later, while other were sooner, as Mito traveled with Itachi and Kisame for a few hundred miles she had to restrain herself several times from killing Kisame for both being annoying and for when he had taken her arm.

But Itachi's presence soothed her some and she was blankly eager to get some time alone with him so they could talk. Separating in Takigakure, Itachi and Kisame went towards Iwagakure in the Earth Country. While she kept closer to the Fire Country. But before they split, she discreetly passed him one of her marked kunais,

Which he didn't hesitate to pocket for future needs.

Getting to Otogakure, she wondered and worried if she'd run into Sasuke. But as she neared the hideout she could feel him. And if she could feel him, he could feel her, so she needed to be quick, using her Flying Raijin she avoided several layers of guards and ninjas and made it to the inner parts of the hideout.

It took her a few minutes to find the labs but when she did, she found the ring in a matter of seconds. Orochimaru had it practically displayed on a decaying hand. Taking it off the hand she looked at it in the dim lights of the machines and capsules filled with water and lights, saw that the ring had the Kanji for Sky or void on it and smirked.

It fit how Orochimaru is, a snake thirsting for everything but never filling up, always void of what he wants or a snake trying to fly but unable to because of it's earthly ties, "What are you doing in here!?" someone shouted from the door, turning to see who Mito held in a flinch at who stood across from her.

"Mito?!" he gasped out before closing the door and rushing to stand inches from her, but she was unable to stop herself from stepping away from him, he couldn't blame her, he would never blame her for that. "What are you doing here, it's dangerous." he said while reaching out to touch her cheek softly.

His fingers grazed the scar she had on her cheek and his expression changed to confused curiosity as he wondered where it came from, her right hand coming up and gripping his wrist pulled his hand away from her face and he finally looked her over and saw what she was wearing, the same thing his brother wore the last time they saw him.

"Did you-" he started but she was already gone and leaving behind a flash of yellow. Growling at his idiocy, he had completely forgotten how fast she was and now he was going to be in trouble because he couldn't stop her from leaving or from taking the ring that Orochimaru had, then again he never really cared and then left the room guilt-free.

Mito returned first. The only other members to be there before her were Pein and the blue haired woman, whose name Mito never bothered to remember. "Did you complete your mission?" Pein asked and she, lifting her hand she showed him the green and silver ring that sat comfortably on her right-hand pinky finger. 

"Good, and you are now officially a member of this organization, Konan will show you to your room and you'll start when everyone gets back and has finished their own jobs," Mito nodded and followed the blue-haired woman. Going down several halls and turning three of them, they came to a door with the same kanji on her ring. "This was Orochimaru's old room,"
