~Chapter 45~

Third person's point of view.

Mito had been gone 6 years, with small visits in between, the only one that was long was the year she had to stay when she found out she was pregnant and those extra months to breastfeed and when she knew that her daughter was strong enough to be cared for by just Sasuke she left again, he didn't like it but she had promised that she was almost done.

And now she was, getting to the village she smiled and greeted the gate guards and they let her through, walking through the village she was hit with nostalgia and was amazed by all the new building and other new things to come with the times, lowering her Chakra so that it was hard to detect she went to Naruto's office,

Getting to the Hokage's building she asked whoever saw her, to keep her arrival a secret wanting to get in on the trick they agreed, standing before his door she raised her left hand and knocked, she had gotten it back from Tsunade the day after she gave birth it turns out you need both arms to breastfeed.

"Come in." Naruo called and she opened the door, smiling at her big brother she saw that he had his head buried in mountains of paperwork. "So the curse of the Hokages paperwork is true." the second Naruto heard her voice he looked up and his pen fell from his lips and hit the desk with a slight clatter,

Getting up he rushed around the desk to hug Mito, "Mii-chan! Your back!" hugging back she nodded into his shoulder, "Yeah, and for good this time." Naruto pulled back and grinned, "Sasuke's going to love that, he's been getting way too grumpy for some of us, and Mikoto can only handle her dad's gloominess for so long." Naruto explained,

"Yeah, um...think she'll be mad at me for being gone for so long?" Mito asked and Naruto shook his head, "Mikoto talks about you all the time it's getting her to shut up is the problem." gasping Mito swatted at Naruto who smiled at his joke. "Don't you have mountains of paperwork Lord Hokage?" she teased and he paled,

"Yeah, but now I want to finish quickly so we can catch up." he said moving back to his desk, "Take your time, I'm not going anywhere besides, I want to spend time with my husband and daughter, you have your own family to spend time with, don't let Boruto get mad at you for spending little time with him and Himawari, otherwise I'll kick your ass." Naruto nodded and Mito left.

Getting to the little house Sasuke and her live in with there daughter, she knocked on the door and a young female voice called out, "Coming!" she knew it was Mikoto and when the door opened she was eye level with her stomach, looking up her body Mikoto met her eyes and smiled, "Mom!" she cheered and raced to hug her,

Catching Mikoto, she held her in her arms and she wrapped her arms and legs around her mother, "I'm home," Mito greeted while hugging her back, Sasuke hearing his daughter call out to her Mother, rushed to the front door hoping this wasn't one of his nightmares and he got to the door as she was coming in,

Kicking off her shoes and pushing them to the side, she looked up as Sasuke stood at the end of the stairs that lead down to the door, and where all the shoes stayed, Mikoto was still hugging her hoping she too wasn't dreaming, but she was real and Mikoto was hugging her, she couldn't be any happier.

"Hello, Sasuke. I'm back." Mito said and with that, he went down the small step and wrapped his arms around both of them, he nuzzled her neck and fought to hold in tears of joy, patting his back and holding him close made him squeeze harder, "I...can't...breathe..." she gasped out when they squeezed too hard,

Pulling back a little they looked at each other before hugging again only not as tight, "Mom, are you going to leave us again?" Mikoto asked looking her in the eye, looking between him and Sasuke who too wondered this as well, stroking his cheek she shook her head "No baby, I'm not leaving you or your father ever again." cheering they had an even bigger hug fest.

"I gotta tell Boruto and Himawari!" the ten-year-old cheered and slipped on her shoes, grabbed her keys, about to go out the door, she stopped mid-step, turning back to her parents she looked up at her dad, "Don't let her leave, okay?" Sasuke patted her silky black hair and nodded, "She won't even leave the room without me."

That seemed to please Mikoto and she ran off, when the door closed, Mito sighed, "She's so big, it feels like yesterday that she was the size of my forearm." she said marvelling at her Daughter's growth, Sasuke nodded agreeing with her, "Yeah, she's a good girl, she keeps her cousins out of as much trouble as she can, but they're in different classes so it's not as easy." Mito chuckled,

Turning to Sasuke, she wrapped her arm around his waist and set her other hand on his chest, letting her fingers spread out across his muscular pectoral and up to his neck so she could pull him down to her, "I missed you so much." she said softly before kissing him, "I missed you too." he mumbled against her lips,

Leaning her forehead against his, both of their eyes were closed, as they caught their breath, "show me." she said with a smile, chuckling he bent quickly and wrapped both arms around her thighs before standing, startled she bent and hung over his shoulder as he carried her to their bedroom. They laughed and giggled the whole way there.

In the room with the door closed, and clothing gone, they showed each other how much they missed each other, over and over until Mikoto came home with Boruto, Himawari, and their parents. Hinata having cooked a home meal while the children played and they waited for Naruto to come home.

(A/N: Okay as it turns out I want to add more to this story, I liked the episodes with the expolding humans, and I know it happened before this chapter so I'll be listing the next few chapters like this: ~Bonus Chapter 1.
