~Chapter 27~

Third person's point of view.

Sensing Gai about to fly in, Mito gave Jiraiya a heads up, "Lord Jiraiya, I'd duck...now." she said and he did, which caused Gai to sail in harmlessly and crash to the floor near Jiraiya. When Gai got up he turned to Jiraiya and apologized for nearly nailing him in the face, but Jiraiya still yelled at him,

Mito using this distraction, pulled Sasuke onto her back and held him on with her remaining arm and went to the hospital, she landed in the doorway and collapsed, doctors and nurses, rushed to treat the couple, Mito was losing blood at a deadly rate and Sasuke had broken ribs and wrist as well as a concussion and was still trapped in the Genjutsu.

When Jiraiya found Naruto, he asked how he got out and all the way back to the Leaf Village, he told him it was because of Mito and that she had sent him there before he could argue against it, Jiraiya was almost afraid to tell him what had happened next but Sakura showing up and crying she sobbed everything to Naruto who rushed with her and Jiraiya to the hospital.

Naruto had run to the first room he learned his teammates were in, they shared a semi-private room, and lay in beds across from each other. Sasuke was on the right asleep and tucked into the bed with the sheets pulled up to his shoulders, while Mito was on the left with the blankets down to her waist while her whole upper body from her neck to her ribs including her left arm were wrapped in bandages.

"Why did those guys do this?!" Naruto shouted to Jiraiya as the older man walked into the room, "They were there for you, but Mito protected you and then Sasuke when he tried to go up against his brother for killing his entire clan." Jiraiya explained and Naruto looked back to Sasuke, understanding now why he was always so angry with everyone but Mito.

"Why did Mito stay? Why didn't she just leave with me? What does the Uchiha Clan's massacre have to do with her?" Naruto asked as even more questions came to mind when he was told something, "She was there the night it happened, she was a victim of Itachi's power test." Jiraiya told him.

Naruto didn't know what to say, "Naruto, if you still want to learn that jutsu, I'll teach it to you but we still need to find Tsunade, she's the only one that can help them right now." Jiraiya said to get Naruto motivated again. Nodding Naruto agreed. Walking over to Mito he leaned his head against hers, "I'll save you this time Mii-chan, you just hold in there."

Without another word, he left with Jiraiya.

Mito and Sasuke spent 20 days in their own separate comas. Sasuke's was Genjutsu induced while Mito's was medically induced. But even after she was healed, she was still weak from the amputation and Chakra drain, she would still be asleep for a few more days afterward to recover and heal.

When Naruto and Jiraiya finally returned with Tsunade Naruto was pulling her all over the Hospital to heal his friends and his sister. Tsunade was currently standing in Sasuke and Mito's shared room, Sakura was currently sitting in her usual seat next to Sasuke's bed. Flowers sat in a vase on his nightstand and his side of the curtains were open letting sunlight shine on him.

While Mito lay in the dark, a curtain was pulled around her bed and no one had gone to see her because Sakura didn't want noise to bother Sasuke, so she lied and included Mito in that statement of the two unconscious ninjas needed rest. And once she got her way she didn't even bat an eye at her every time she came in to care for someone else's boyfriend.

"You must be the one Gai-sensei told me about, oh, please, if you can save Sasuke..." Sakura said completely leaving out Mito, "Well, I'll see what I can do." Tsunade said then turned to Sasuke, setting her hand on his head, she used her Medical Ninjutsu, and when she stopped he slowly started to open his eyes,

When they were open, Naruto and Sakura were thrilled, "Sasuke!" Naruto cheered before Sakura shoved him over so she could wrap her arms around him after he sat up, he didn't say anything as she slobbered all over him, looking up, Sasuke's eyes landed on the partly open curtain of Mito's bed and he could see her face through the partly open curtain,

Shoving free of Sakura he wobbled over to her with the help of Naruto who waved for Tsunade to follow, opening the curtain, Sasuke rushed to her side and sat on the bed's edge. "What happened?" he asked to anyone that knew. "She was all over the place, she was like a flash, but what I could see she dislocated Kisame Hoshigaki's arm, and kicked him across the hall to protect you." Jiraiya started,

"To avoid crashing into his partner Itachi dropped you and she used her Flying Raijin to get to you but because of past trauma it dulled her speed and she lost an arm before she reached you. She's actually the reason you two made it to the hospital before more damage could be dealt." he finished and Sasuke looked back to her.

Tsunade moving around everyone she looked over Mito's charts before setting her hands on the girl, glowing for a few minutes, she pulled back and smiled, "She just needs some rest now, so do you." Tsunade said turning to Sasuke who didn't move an inch, knowing she wouldn't get anywhere with him she made him promise to try and sleep even if it was in the same bed as Mito.

This seemed to work in getting him to agree to her terms. Tsunade also noticed Naruto's affections for Sakura while the pinkette pinned after the Uchiha who looked like he was in a very dependent relationship with Naruto's twin sister. Very awkward love-square. Leaving the room to see to other patients,

Sakura and Naruto were asked to leave so that Sasuke and Mito could get some peace and quiet. When the door closed, Sasuke wiggled in under the sheets of Mito's bed and held her to himself, he avoided wires in her right arm and couldn't stop softly rubbing her stump of a left arm. It seems that her left side was taking a beating, first her eye and now her arm, he didn't want to know what would be next.
