(A:N/So I've vamped up a few of these chapters as I was hit with new inspiration for them and I hope that you readers like it.)
Third person's point of view.
Mito realized that what she needed wasn't a distraction but a release, all of her run in's with Sasuke never go the way she planned and she had his immaturity, his vanity and his stupidity to thank for that and with each run-in, it was like she was being suffocated, but with Itachi, it's like breathing fresh, free air.
It also showed her how much she overlooked for him, and how much she suppressed her feelings for Itachi, her way of thinking and growing were influenced by him, he built her, taught her and she'd pushed down the feeling because she'd re-trained her brain and heart to accommodate Sasuke's hate for Itachi.
Now she understands the hate but, with all the information she has she can understand it completely, making it easier for her to be forgiving of Itachi, setting her hate on the right people, but, right now she just wants to focus on him. Its what she feels is right, at this moment. Worrying about him, caring about him, loving him.
She plans to do that in every way she knows how. The fact that it's also helping her is just an added bonus. At one of the bases, she knew Itachi frequented after missions, she used his shower and when she felt him and Kisame arrive she quickly exited the shower towel-drying herself as she grabbed one of Itachi's shirts to wear.
She hadn't realized the size of it when she threw it on, but now that she stopped to look she realized how short it was and how tight, with the approaching sound of Itachi's footsteps she had no time to look for another and decided it would have to do, either way, she didn't plan to keep it on long.
Rushing back into the bathroom for a breath check and a quick brush if needed she listened to him come into the room,
-
Itachi had this strange feeling building in him, it only started to show when he thought about Mito or was around her. She brought up this feeling of security and warmth when he needed it most. Itachi had been so used to a cold and lonesome life that he'd nearly forgotten how to let someone in.
But as usual, Mito proved him wrong. Which he loved about her. This revelation caused him to pause. Itachi loved Mito. When and for how long meant nothing in the scheme of things, but to finally figure it out, made his heart skip a beat, only to realize that should his plans continue unhindered, he'd never get to live a life with her.
Now he had two options before him, one would be a win/lose situation while the second would be a lose/lose, he couldn't decide. But the only thing he could tell is that he wanted a little taste of what it would be like to be with her the way he wished. Getting to his room he sensed her there waiting for him.
Something she usually did, she somehow could tell when he was having especially hard days and even though today was fairly good, he still wanted to see her, stepping into his room, he was instantly hit with the warm humidity from a hot shower. Waving his hand a bit, he felt warm and comfy.
"Mito?" he called to her, she wasn't in the main room, so he assumed she was still in the bathroom. Changing out of his cloak, shoes and headband, she got his attention as the door opened and she stepped out in his shirt. His eyes popped a little at the sight of her, her long hair lay wet and heavy around her,
Her bangs coming down to hide her face a little as it was coated in warm blush, her visible eye was narrowed slightly and she had it locked on him as his own eyes looked her over, a new realization hitting him as he saw she only wore his shirt and nothing else. "Um...Mito, what are you doing?" he asked quickly looking away to keep himself contained.
