Third person's point of view.
Mito had come back again after two days away and was greeted warmly by the guys of her team, while she was barraged by Sakura and her attempt at sneak attacking Mito. It was going on for a few days, every time Sakura thought she was going to get the drop on Mito it wouldn't work, she'd dodge and the pinkette would sail harmlessly over her head or slip past her,
Mito had been resting in their training field one afternoon when Kakashi-sensei came to her and cleared his throat for her attention even though she knew he was there, in the middle of a fight, Mito was summoned by Tsunade, she looked at the Anbu who had come to find her just as Sakura aimed to use one of her earth-shattering punches,
The Anbu exclaimed in worry, but Mito wasn't and caught Sakura's fist and threw her over her shoulder before leaving with him. "This isn't over!!" Sakura roared as Mito walked away ignoring her as she went. "Do you think it's wise to treat her that way, she is Tsunade-sama's student." Mito didn't look at him, "She's the one that started it and I don't care that Tsunade taught her."
Mito's words were monotonous and offhand. Which sacred most people that didn't know her personally, "You can return to your duties, I know where to go." she said sounding just as closed off to the Anbu as she was with Sakura. Nodding he took off and Mito walked the rest of the way to Tsunade's office.

Getting there within ten minutes the older woman sat waiting with her hands clasped under her chin. "Mito, good. Thank you for coming," Mito bowed slightly, and moved to stand in front of Tsunade's desk, "You wanted to see me?" she didn't want to deal with idle chatter, for some reason, Mito's patience thinned a lot quicker than when she was younger.
After everything that happened, she just didn't have the same cares or cautions, though her wish for the future was still the same it was just slowly clouding over with other things and feelings. "Yes, I got word from a spy of ours that he needs back up, and I can't think of anyone better for the task."
Mito could feel that there was something that the Hokage was leaving out. "What aren't you telling me?" she asked not beating around the bush. "I had a feeling you would see through that." Tsunade said while opening a drawer and pulling out two scrolls, setting them on her desk she pushed them to Mito.
Taking the scrolls she looked at them and what they were labeled as and frowned, "Why are you showing me this?" she said not at all sparing the harsh sharpness in her voice. "Because it's time you knew and he needs help. I know you don't like him, or what he's done but you need to read those and trust me." Tsunade said while leaning forward on her desk.
"Do you? Trust me that is." Mito looked up from the two scrolls to the woman behind the desk, "There are many people in this village that don't deserve any kind of trust, but you will never be one of those. Give me the mission scroll I'll read everything before I come back to tell you if I'll take it on." Tsunade nodded and handed off the mission scroll and Mito left.
-
Mito was sitting in the living room of her apartment, a cup of forgotten coffee next to her as she sat staring wide-eyed at the open scrolls before her, she never could have guessed that any of those things happened, but realistically it did and he had to go through all of it alone, somehow she blamed herself for not acting on what she had seen in his eyes the night it happened,
But because of the promise he had made her keep, she had been conflicted as well as confused by all the death and the fact that she had lost another family, even though she never knew her birth one, she could remember the warmth of her mother's smile and the gentleness of her father's arms, but that's about it.
Most of the family experience was from Fugaku and Mikoto, they showed her what it meant to have a father and mother, but to learn they were going to attack the village was like a knife in her heart and know she understand's everything, without any hesitation now she's up off the couch and rolling the scrolls up to tie and then put into her belt,
Dressing in something dark and comfortable she returned to the Hokage's office and accepted the mission. "As the Akatsuki are all criminals with records a mile long, I need to come up with something for you so that getting in will be easy for you to get in," Mito nodded. When she couldn't come up with something, Mito sighed,
"I'll come up with something, you'll know what it is when you hear about it," she said before turning on her heel, "so make sure you distract Naruto and keep him safe, he's the only family I got left." Mito didn't wait to hear what she'd have to say and left the room.
-
Getting home she changed into something black and had a clone tie up her hair, with it out of her way she she made sure to have everything she needed so to avoid coming back to the house, looking over the elders schedule again she memorized it before setting it on fire dropping it into her sink she let it completely burn up,
Before washing the ashes down the drain. Making sure she had enough of her marked knives she left, using rooftops and back streets to get to where she wanted, when she arrived she was pleased to know that her targets decided to stray from their schedules have tea together, noticing several Anbus' she tsked softly before moving,
Flashing past all of them she knocked them out as she went. When they were all unconscious, she moved on to the Elders. Cutting out the lights, she put them on edge, standing back to back with kunai knives out, she surrounded them with her own pre-marked knives, when they were set up,
She struck, she blew through each one and before they could even shout or scream she killed them, lifeless and laying in pools of their own blood, she felt both better and horrible at the same time. But she didn't let the guilt slow her down right now, leaving her knives as evidence to her attack,
Dipping her fingers into the pools of blood, she moved over to a wall and wrote [two down, one to go...] then dropped her forehead protected to the ground slashing it as it went, as the Anbus' started to stir she vanished out of the room and right out the village gates.
-
It took her nearly three days without her Flying Raijin jutsu to get to the main hideout in Amegakure. She didn't even stop to change as she knew that blood splattered clothing would be better proof to her claims than clean ones. She wasn't even in front of the main door two seconds before she was surrounded and held in place by various hands,
Or weapons, "How the fuck did you find us!?" Hidan shouted his scythe held in front of her chest as he held the handle behind her, she didn't even look at him, and faced the man with purple eyes ringed with black circles, but her eyes were locked on Itachi who stood behind him with a blank expression.
"I killed the village elders because they're corrupt and involved with crimes that hurt the people I care about." Pein looked her over and could clearly see what she meant and waved everyone off so she could follow him inside then down several halls to his office.
