Mito Uzumaki's point of view.

It was a few weeks after coming back from the Land of Snow, I had finally master living my life with one eye. It took a while to get but I finally go it, and if anything it made me more aware and kept me on my toes. I didn't mind the challenge. I was just waking up when someone tapped on my window, or the one that was in Sasuke's room as we were practically living together.

He was getting annoyed with the smallness of my room in my apartment with Naruto, and Naruto was getting to be too big for his futon in the living room/his room. So I stayed with Sasuke and Naruto had the apartment to himself and his own room. Sitting up and carefully getting out of bed without waking Sasuke,

I went to the window and opened it to the familiar masked face of Kakashi-sensei. "The elders want to see you." I was confused, "Why would they want to see me?" shrugging half-heartedly he said, "Maybe they have a mission for you." I nodded, "Well, that's a good reason to want to see me." leaning against the window I crossed my arms,

"When do they want to see me?" Kakashi-sensei straightened himself up on the roof under the window, "An hour." I nodded and he left, sighing I went over to my drawer and pulled out navy blue ninja pants and a sleeveless navy shirt. Grabbing a folded light green scarf I wrapped it around my neck in a way that would later allow me to turn it into a head cover or mask.

Strapping on my weapons pouches to my leg and lower back I grabbed my forehead protector and tied it around my forearm and covered my eye with a black eyepatch, Sasuke turned onto his stomach and grumbled in his sleep. I couldn't help but smile, going back around the bed to his side I knelt and tucked his hair behind his ear and kissed his cheek,

Heading downstairs I grabbed an apple to eat along the way, with my apple in my mouth to hold, I tied up my hair in a half-up-half-down hairstyle, early risen fangirls stood around the corner from the house they all glared and hissed at me in jealousy some even picked up rocks to throw but I walk/moved out of the way until it was getting annoying,

Catching one of the rocks over my shoulder I spun and threw it at a rock coming my way, which bounced off several other flying rocks and hit the last one out of one of the girls' hand. When they all stood where they were shocked I left.

Getting to where the Konoha Council waited I was let in after knocking twice, "Come in." an older male called, going in I bowed respectfully to the two older ninjas seated on a couch in front of me, Homura Mitokado an old man with grey hair, a beard, glasses as well as a frown, which he was sporting at the moment,

He was wearing similar garbs the Third Hokage would when acting in his capacity as Hokage. "Thank you for coming in so early, Miss. Uzumaki." I straightened up and shook my head, "I was getting up early anyway," Koharu Utatane is an older woman hair is pulled back in a twin bun locked by a traditional Japanese hairpin with two pearls dangling off the side with tassels added to the other end.

Her earrings are considerably long. Koharu wore a simple long kimono, closed by an obi, a jacket, and a sash over it. When the pair saw my face they gasped, "So it is true, you did get hurt on that mission to the Land of Snow," I doubted that was why they called me here, "Is that why you wanted to see me?" getting back to the topic she shook her head,

"No we have two things for you today, first is a mission," I nodded, "We need you to find the Toad Sage Jiraiya, we want him to come back and become the Fifth Hokage." I nodded, "Very well and the second?" I asked. "Yes, myself and Homura talked it over and we agreed you did very well in the prelims of the Chunin exams,"

I bowed thanking them for the compliment, "And we heard from the Hokage before he died that he was going to promote you, whether you won or not, so here," she said and pulled out a Chunin vest and my new Ninja ID with my updated ninja rank, taking it I thanked her and pulled it on and untucked my scarf from the collar.

"Congratulations, you earned this." Homura said with a nod, I thanked them again and excused myself.

Getting to Sasuke's place he was still asleep so I didn't wake him, writing a quick note telling him about my promotion, I packed a bag and sealed it into an empty scroll to have less to carry and to make moving quicker. Knowing I'd need Mori, my tracking Kitsune. Starting from where I first met hit, Mori was able to pick up the scent and we were off.

He was all over the place, and I regret not marking him that day during the month of training for the Chunin exams. Remembering all the stories Naruto told me about this man, I used that to look for him while Mori sniffed around for him, so far it would seem we were a few days behind him. Hissing in annoyance at that we kept going.
