~Chapter 25~

Mito Uzumaki's point of view.

I was on my sixth day of looking for the Toad Sage, I had gotten some information saying that he was seen up in the mountains with the natural hot springs, it didn't surprise me when I heard that because if there was a hot spring then there would be naked women, the perfect place for a pervert to spy on them.

I was jogging through the trees looking for him with my chakra and with Mori who was at my side, "Mito, the guy smells like Sake, frogs, and slimy water, it's nasty as hell." Mori complained, "I'm sorry he doesn't smell better but it's his natural scent. I promise as soon as this is done you can go home and relax as much as you want." I said and his attitude lifted a bit.

Mid-afternoon came around and I still couldn't find him, but I did find a nice little lake that was perfect for bathing in. Not wanting to torture Mori anymore I sent him back and told him I'd find the sage on my own. He made me promise to pay him back for using his nose for nothing and I did, I promised him a basket of strawberries, which as he favorite snack.

He licked my cheek in thanks before returning to his world. Stripping to absolutely nothing I stuck my foot in the water, it wasn't cold like I thought it would be and got in. Swimming to the middle I dove under to wet my hair and the rest of my body.

Third person's point of view.

Jiraiya had been in the mountains for a few hours now, he was trying to escape the person constantly following him for the last few days, he thought he would lose them in the forest and it worked for those few hours, he had found the hot spring for his research and was finished for the day and was going to go back to the little village for some drinks and beautiful company.

Passing a nice sized lake on the way, he saw some clothing laying in a pile near the water's edge, he was curious now because it was women's clothing. Standing up from the pile of clothing he looked around to see if he could find the woman that they belonged to, but the bubbles in the water startled him and he jumped to hide.

Mito was underwater for a while, she had used her Chakra to extend the time she could hold her breath, but when she really needed to come up for air, she swam to the top and flipped her hair out of her face and created an arc of water with her hair, when she resurfaced.

Taking a deep breath she bobbed in the water for a bit before standing and holding her hair so that it covered her breasts as best as it could, from the moment she came back to the surface she could sense him, speeding over to her clothing she grabbed a weapon, and looked in his direction.

"Come out now and I won't kill you for spying on me." she growled out and he really didn't want to die so he stepped into view. "Lord Jiraiya!" she shouted when she saw him, "Please don't run but turn around." recognizing the girl from the leaf village he turned and didn't run even though he didn't know why he would, she was way too beautiful to run from.

"You may turn back now," she said and he turned to see a Kunoichi. And a Chunin by the looks of her vest, but the eye patch was new. Bowing she introduced herself, "I am Mito Uzumaki, you trained my brother for the Chunin Exams." Jiraiya nodded and sat on a branch. "I remember, the stubborn kid wouldn't leave me alone because I flattened his teacher."

She nodded, "My brother's very headstrong and gutsy like that." Realizing that she was the one following him, he rubbed his head in thought to ask her why she came looking for him, "Is there a reason you've been following me for the last week?" she nodded, "Yes, the Konoha Council wishes to see you." he frowned, "Do you know why?"

She shook her head with a tight-lipped smile. "Fine, I guess I have to go with you to find out, don't I?" she nodded this time, obviously she knew what they wanted from him but she knew he'd reject the offer and run off on her and she needed to bring him back, so a white lie was better than chasing him again.

Returning to the village she brought him to the Council and she was thanked before they let her leave, when she was gone, Jiraiya turned to the council, "So what did you want?" they looked to each other confused, "She didn't tell you? We sent her to get you because we want you to become the next Hokage."

Jiraiya's jaw dropped, "That little minx, she didn't tell me because she knew I'd say no and then leave without even coming here, damn she's good." Jiraiya said with an erked smile, Kohana and Homura shared a proud look between the two of them and turned their attention back to Jiraiya. "Then who would you suggest?" Homura asked,

"Well, if you're okay with it, I'd suggest Tsunade." he said, "But no one knows where she is." Kohana said and Jiraiya nodded, "I have an idea of where to look, if you want me to find her." they shared a quick quiet moment to talk and then agreed.

Jiraiya left the council room and went down to the main entrance and found Mito talking to Kakashi, remembering her trick on him he stomped over to her and the older Jonin. "You little trickster! You lied to me!" he said while he ground his fists into the side of her head in a double nuggie.

"Would you have come if I told you the truth!" she groaned as he still nuggied her, "No!" he snapped before she pushed him away, "Then I needed to keep that part from you, this is a very serious matter, the people of this village are in danger without a Leader, whether it's you or Lady Tsunade makes no difference in my eye, man up do something about it if your peeved."

She scolded "I'm going to go see Sasuke and the others, see you later Sensei." she added before leaving the older man shocked in his spot, and her teacher who was reading a new series Mito had told him about, "You just had to go there didn't you, Lord Jiraiya." Kakashi said his nose in his book.

Mito Uzumaki's point of view.

When I got to the hospital I asked for my team's room numbers and smiled when they were all on the same floor with only one or two doors in between each of them. I visited Naruto and Sakura first so that I could spend as much time as I wanted with Sasuke without worrying about having to see the others.

Knocking on his door, he called me in and I smiled when I saw him, he looked better than I thought which was good. "Hey handsome, how you feeling?" I asked sitting on his bed with my arms locked on either side of his thighs. "Better than when we got in here that's for sure. But ten times more now that you're here." I giggled and gave him a sweet kiss.

"Where did you go? You wrote a note saying you had a mission but you didn't tell me what it was." I shrugged slightly, "I just had to find someone and tell him something is all, it wasn't hard just time-consuming." I explained loosely while tucking his hair out of his face and stroking his cheek with my thumb.

His hand covered mine and he leaned into my palm. "So how did your first mission without me and Kakashi-sensei go?" I asked pulling his attention back a bit, "Much more difficult than I expected for an escort mission, as you can see, we ended up in the hospital but we got it done." I giggled, "Even if you guys failed the mission and returned alive I would be happy."

I told him honestly. "I know," he said back and leaned in for another kiss, which I was happy to give, we were right in the middle of getting really into it when someone knocked on the door, cursing under my breath, I got up and looked at the time, "Looks like visiting hours are over," making him lay back down I kissed him one last time and headed towards the door.

"Love you," he called from the bed, "I love you, too." I said back meaning it everytime I say it.
