~Chapter 13~

Mito's point of view.

~In Dream~

"Monster!" On girl screamed throwing a stone at me as I sat hunched over near a bench, "Look at her, the sister of a demon, for all we know she's probably just as bad!" Another shouted when I had done nothing wrong in my life except take the blame for naruto's pranks and jokes. They were never able to catch him because he ran too fast and they always ended up catching me because they just wanted to beat one of us.

Not being able to catch him meant they would have to do it to me instead. About to get pelted by rocks again I flinched and waited for the pain as my body flopped over and tears spilled from my eyes, as they were almost swollen shut from the bruises and cuts from the rocks. But I was still able to see slightly at the form of a boy, probably 4 years older than me.

He wore light navy blue with black shorts, his tan messenger bag hung across his body as his slightly long black hair stood out against his unblemished ivory skin. "You can't protect it forever, eventually everyone will get sick of her being here and when that time comes..." "You will not touch her." The boy said cutting off whatever threat the men planned to say, when the men didn't leave, the boy did something and they took off running.

Turning to me, I finally got to see his eyes, they were red fading to black and beautiful. He frowned worriedly at me, before rushing to my side. My eyes were half closed and everything hurt when he picked me up and carried me across his back.

When I woke up I couldn't see out of my right eye and I felt bandaged and warm. Looking around with my one good eye I saw the boy from earlier. He was watching me and smiled when he saw me awake. "Hi, good your awake, I'm relieved." I frowned and then tried to sit up. "No, don't get up, you're hurt pretty bad." not saying anything I let him push me back down.

"Who are you?" I asked. Like he had forgotten he smiled. "I'm Itachi Uchiha, and if you're wondering where you are, you're at my house." then I realized who he was related to, struggling to get up again he made me lay back down, "Why are you in such a hurry to leave?" I frowned and shook my head not wanting to tell him.

"Come on, you can tell me." I looked into his eyes and all I saw was trust and warmth, nothing like I saw in the eyes of the villagers. "The girls in my class are Sasuke-crazy, if they found out I was in his house they'd hate me, and I don't want anyone to hate me even more than they already do." he frowned at me like he was confused.

"Why would you think that?" looking at him with tears in my only visible eye, I answered, "Becuase I'm a monster, he would be tainted if I were to be seen with him, I would never be able to be friends with him, my brother and him don't get along anyway." Itachi looked at me and the tears in my eye made him blurry to me.

But he was the most beautiful person I had ever seen, "you're so beautiful, Itachi-san." I said and everything went dark.

Mito though she was sure her being around Sasuke would get him hated by his classmates, didn't care because after what his brother told him, Sasuke became Mito's little protector, his dream along with pleasing his father, turned into him making Mito smile. And he could see it would be quiet the challenge because she didn't have much to smile for.

Her brother caused her problems, and she took the fall for it, and the guy being as idiotic as always, never realized the harm he caused her just trying to get people to notice him. That was why Sasuke hated Naruto. Not because of the stupid pranks or the fact that he was naturally stupid but the tears, and scars and pain she's enduring for him.
