Goose chase

General

Millie watched as a beautiful girl with long red hair jogged towards her, an excited smile plastered on her face

Sadie whispers to Millie, "Remember the plan?"

Millie nods, "Yep, talk to Finn, hint at the garden, but don't make is obvious or desperate. Even though I'm sure he'll figure it out, I'm the only British girl in the school, let alone only British girl named Millie."

Millie rolls her eyes at the slightly ridiculous plan Sadie had made for her, it least it wasn't some crazy plan.

"Okay, so I'm going to find Sadie, and casually ask her if she knows anyone named Millie, or maybe I'll see who she's hanging with and ask that person if they are Millie?" Finn said to Noah quietly.

Noah suppressed a chuckle, "Calm down player."

"Finn you're a ladies man, don't worry about it," Caleb says will giving Finn's shoulder a reassuring pat.

"Okay, well I think I see Sadie over there, here goes nothing."

Little did he know that Millie already left the front lawn to look for Finn inside, and Sadie had no intention on messing up the plan she had made for her best friend.

Finn shoved his hands in his pockets, and walked up to Sadie. "Hey carrot top," he said with a smirk, "do you know a girl named Millie?"

Sadie smiled, trying to suppress her excited squeak, "Yes, I do know a girl named Millie."

"What's this chick look like?" Finn said coolly.

Sadie didn't know what she should say, "Well uh... she has brown hair... and uh."

Sadie begged for something to interrupt so she didn't ruin her plan. Then, right on cue, the bell for first period rang.

"Gotta go Finn, sorry. Talk to you later."

Shit, Finn thought.

"I'll find you at lunch?" He yells out to Sadie, who is now about thirty feet away.

"Sure!" She shouts back, and continues to walk to class.

Phew.

"Okay, so now I know that she's a brunette."

"Nice," Gaten said half jokingly.

"That's a nice change, I've been sick of all the dumb blondes, but Iris was pretty chill," Caleb immediately covers his mouth, regretting that he mentioned Iris.

"Anyway," Gaten says awkwardly.

"I told her I'd find her at lunch."

This seems to catch the attention of Caleb and Gaten, Finn smirks.

"So, hopefully at lunch-"

Finn is cut off by Mrs. Ryder.

"Okay class, grab out a piece of paper because we are going to take notes on this video about the children's march!"

Finn roles his eyes, but is secretly interested as to the children's march is, so he does it anyway.

*lunch*

"Sadie!" Finn motions Sadie over to his table. Sadie contemplates whether or not to go, but decides that she should.

Sadie sits down, "Hey guys."

They know each other, but they aren't best friends. (That's about to change)

"So uh, my friend Millie is still getting lunch, but she'll come sit with us."

Finn's heart skips a beat at the mention of her name, but he shrugs it off. He's not a softy like Noah.

Millie drowned out the noise of the cafeteria with her headphones, she grabbed the tray of mediocre school food and started walking, she had no idea where Sadie and Finn were sitting, or that Sadie was even sitting with Finn.

"She's right there with the brown hair," Sadie points at Millie, who is turned away from them. Finn's eyes follow her finger to another girl, a girl named Camile.

Who, conveniently, was nick named Millie. Camile turned around and smiled at Finn, she has the biggest crush on him.

"Millie!" Finn says. Camile smiles at the fact that Finn knows her nickname that all her friends call her.

Meanwhile, the ACTUAL Millie is looking around for Sadie, she was planning on talking to Finn at lunch, but didn't want to go alone.

Finn stood up and started walking towards her, Sadie trailing behind. Millie took off her headphones, and tucked a lock of her short, shiny brown hair behind her ear.

This is it, Millie thinks.

She's just about to say hi to Finn, when he walks right past her.

"Hi Fi-"

"Excuse me," Finn said, weaving past her to talk to Camile.

What a jerk!

Finn begins to make small talk with "Millie" when he realizes that she's not British.

He turned around and looked at Sadie with a confused expression.

He gave a look as if to say "explain please."

Sadie sighed as she saw Millie exit the cafeteria.

"That's not the right Millie."

"Oh, come ON," Finn says under his breath while his friends laugh their asses off at their lunch table.
